What do you think of this?

First, I'm obsessed with seeing more of Krypton when it was a thriving metropolis of its own (no pun intended).

I think it would be cool if maybe in an episode Clark is training in the FOS and he touches a crystal which puts him in place of his father while learning of the destruction of Krypton. Maybe we could see the city of Kandor modern technology being used including an interesting architectural look. It would be a cool way to still see Tom as the star of the episode but also gain insight into the fall of Krypton.

Imagine seeing him talk to counsel members after watching a setup by Brainiac/or Zod and knowing it must be stopped. Being placed in his fathers shoes only to see the same result... The destruction of Krypton. As it explodes he gets returned to the FOS and Jor-el could say something like "This is the memory you fight in honor of my Kryptonian son. Don't let this happen to your planet Earth. It is your duty to protect it at all cost."

Not a perfect setup, just throwing ideas around. The main thing being a chance to see Krypton in it's thriving existance :D

yeah, i like it. it could be like quantum leap, he looks in the mirror and he looks different than what we see him.

i think its a great idea, i really like the "warning" at the end of the episode

Fantastic idea, wish you were writing for this show instead of the mopes we have now. I love you Lana, I love you Clark. Let's wake up in eachothers arms and protect eachother from mean old Lex, muahmuahmuah kisskiss. GAG PUKE! More adventure less soap opera!

Wow JC, where the hell have you been dude? Haven't seen you around here in a long long time.

I've been around some but on the Supes and DC comics boards mostly. I kind of gave it a break on here for a while. Some people still hold onto grudges from the old days or what I refer to as the first Casting Wars and at times I feel like once I'm spotted I better watch out cause I'm a moving target :p There are however at least a few people that I've talked with in terms of getting over the ole' baggage... Heck lately I agree with Serene on quite a bit of things, frightens her even ;)

Btw, thanks to you guys who like my idea.

COMPO, I was thinking more like he touches a crystal and once his lesson starts he can not exit the "program" so to speak. He has to complete his lesson before his mind is released back to his present state.

That's an Amazing Idea

Making Tom Welling Jor-El in the first place was stupid.

This would not future the stupidity however, and possibly make for a great episode.

Anyone check out the Last Days of Krypton book yet?

I didn't exactly like that they made him Jor-el in the first place but I think in this context it would work out quite well.

Like Superman : TAS episode [Stolen Memories ]

When Clark touch the memory orb of Krypton that Brainiac has, Clark witness Jor-EL telling the High counsel members about The destruction of The Planet Krypton .

Or The other episode [Blasts From the Past: Part 1 ]

When The Orb shows Superman Jor-EL Banishing Jax-Ur & Mala to The Phantom Zone .

Similar but instead of watching his father, he would get placed in his father's memory taking his place so Kal-el can see what Jor-el saw.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. People can be quick to turn down an idea on these forums :o

why not. I prefer sticking with stamp but this could work also.
