So Tom hanks recently gave an interview where he stated he would like to play a superhero or supervillain! Let the fan casting begin!

He'd be perfect for Mr Sinister

If not then Mysterio or Doctor Strange

It would be awesome if Marvel found a role for him; the sheer awesomeness of the film would reach unimaginable heights.

Tom Hanks would be an ideal Mr. Fantastic and a much better fit for the role than the 20-somethings Fox is looking at.

The role is based on Ultimate Reed Richards so Hanks is too old for the role

I'm pretty sure that if Tom Hanks expressed a strong interest in playing Reed Richards, FOX would immediately toss out their "Fantastikids" treatment to accomodate the multiple Oscar winner. And I would be annoyed and confused at FOX because such perfect casting would cause me to no longer hate the very idea of this reboot.

Well said.

Tom Hanks as Reed Richards
Elizabeth Banks as Susan Richards
Bruce Willis as Ben Grimm

Put those three on the screen and it doesn't matter who you cast as Johnny - you might have to replace him with H.E.R.B.I.E. with the money you're spending on actor salaries. Have Franklin and Valeria in the family from the start. And I would curse FOX to high heaven for hanging onto the rights while paying to see this film multiple times at the cinema.

I would certainly hope so, but as it stands, I'm with you on not being a big fan of Fox's current FF reboot plans. I'd prefer to see the rights revert back to Marvel Studios. Can you imagine Hanks and RDJ in a meeting of the Illuminati? I can. It's awesome.

Tom Hanks as a hero-Reed Richards.
Tom Hanks as a villain-Lex Luthor.

Willis: Really good actor choice there :)

But I disagree that the casting of Human Torch would not be important. It should in fact be someone who could fit in the team of Hanks & Willis, but be younger. How about Matt Damon?

I would have Daryl Hannah as Susan, by the way

It would be best for the FF reboot.
And it would also prove that Fox are a** kissers.

Would love to see Hanks in a comic film.

Tom Hanks for Antman!!

There's a pretty good chance that Paul Rudd will play Ant-Man (Scott Lang). There's a slightly less good chance that Joseph Gordon Levitt will play Ant-Man (Scott Lang).

There's a pretty good chance that Ant-Man's Hank Pym will be an old man, and was active as a superhero in the 1960s.

If that's the case, Tom Hanks as Hank Pym as the mentor/foil to a younger Paul Rudd as Scott Lang would make that movie all kinds of awesome.

I'm still holding out hope that James Spader is Pym.
