This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]358387[/split]
Raganork, stop. You're making mountains out of molehills again.
You're basing the theory of vision on a different mask and film trilogy. It makes no sense. At this point, it's not about 'realism'. You, and Marx, are making the argument that just because Spiderman can see out his mask -- every mask in the existence of the universe is deemed wearable and tactical.
Yes, Spiderman can see out of the mask. Point? I never stated that.
Well Raganork, I'm going to tell you what I told Marx, show me a Luchador Mask that won't affect eyesight, mobility and breathing patterns. In addition, you must make it intimidating to the GA.
You simply can't. It isn't a stretch to imagine, but to pull off... that is another story. Dr. Manhattan was a badass in the comics, but the GA never took him seriously simply because his genitals were showing.
Of course.I know, I'm asking you to consider him not being a clown for one moment.
wouldn't that bother you? It'd bother me
Of course.
Maybe its just that Im a older fan not as familiar with Bane as some of the younger guys. I was reading Batman comics during the great O'Neal/Adams run of the 70s and Colans run of the early/mid 80s.
I understand the threat Banes poses. But in a real world setting Banes freakishly large size isnt so important. I do understand the complaint. But to me, having a guy who has mastered the art of breaking a man body, enhances by a inhalant that increases his peak conditioning/aggression/resistence to pain... you add the break BruceWayne/The Bat thing to it and its a pretty imposing adversary.
Ive seen vids of some of the famous bodyguards/bounces out there, and most of them arent even very large guys. Some of these guys are bone breaks and extremely dangerous, yet many arent guys who are freakishly large, but thick in the neck, back and body/ torso.
Of course.

Thank you. to add to that, most guys that are huge and tall cant manuever very well and someone like batman would massacre them. Batman hardly seems like hes massacring bane in that last shot. To me, thats whats important. Bane obviously is a scary dude with some serious skills and tenacity.
We don't know what Nolan has done to the character yet, so it is debatable. All we know, is that Bane is charging Batman, and he looks winded. We don't know if Bane will even talk, if he'll be smarter than Batman, if he even uses Venom, etc.And to those who would say if they arent going to keep banes huge size and mask, why not cast deadshot, I ask you...would batman EVER be bacing away from deadshot like that? THis certainly implies nolan has kept the most important aspects to banes character in tact. Im not even sure how that part is debatable.
Yeah, same here, I like when Bane talks in the comics. I just have a hard time seeing Hardy being able to talk in that mask, because it looks like it would impair his speech.I can't imagine a mute Bane. That's something Schumacher did. Bane is a talker. He's very intellectual.

Basketball players? Boxers? NFL players? Your statement= BS.

I haven't seen many people saying Deadshot, Deathstroke, yes. And the answer is still both to yes.

No, for the most part basketball players and boxers are very lean. NFL players, wider recievers, very lean. running backs are mostly short and stocky. Lineman are huge as are d lineman. Linebackers would be the best comparison. I suppose I shouldve clarified that putting someone lie that against BATMAN, someone who engages 20 men at a time due to his versatility, wont end well.

How about Bane? A man who engages and defeats Batman due to his size and versatility. I'm pretty sure that ended well:
For Bane at least.
Schumacher's Bane wasn't mute. He said "monkey work" and went around like a moron yelling "BOMB! BOMB! BOMB!" every time he placed an icicle bomb on the floor at the observatory.
Lol, he would? Not in many comics Ive read.
I think I'm gonna watch B&R tonight. That movie is just too funny.Schumacher's Bane wasn't mute. He said "monkey work" and went around like a moron yelling "BOMB! BOMB! BOMB!" every time he placed an icicle bomb on the floor at the observatory in B&R.
