You know I really liked Tom Jane's work and when this whole Punisher controversy started I began to wonder what was going on. It's almost like he had a God complex or something and felt he was some A-List star who could force his ideas on a studio. Since then he's trashed the script and screenwriters in the process, and is now trashing Ray Stevenson IMO. Tom is a really likeable guy on screen but apparently he's a sore loser and a big whining baby. I'd love to see him talk trash to Ray's face. LOL Ray is twice the man he is.

IESB: Hey, but someone else is playing Punisher.
TJ: Hey, I don’t know who that guy is but…
IESB: No one does…
TJ: And…that’s not the Punisher…goodbye.

No comment.

Meh, if you listen to the audio, he was obviously drunk and just having a little fun. Who cares?

After listening to the audio on the website, its sounds like he's being very cocky about it.

"Yeah, I'm still the Punisher man!" "blah blah blah"

Not in this movie pal.

hallelujah. 2004 haters this is the moment you've been waiting for. ****en burn the man and string him up by his balls for something inane he said in his unhinged crocked excitement. let's turn this into an all out war where we can further beat the ass out of proving stevenson being a more awesomer punisher. i want to see photo shopped pics of 2004 punisher and a beer can, a black eye, and some missing teeth and have that go on for fifty more threads. yeah, he wouldn't know that he was even dissing ray stevenson since i doubt he is the type to keep up with news about the punisher sequel and he is a drunk mother ***ker at that. bradstreet is probably an ass for befriending and supporting this guy, etc., etc.

anyone else care to continue ?

Hahaha. You're a **** AD. He has an opinion, and nobody show is like Jane. Read some of his interviews, he doesn't give a flying ****. That's a part of the reason I'm a fan of his.
He's had a couple of drinks and it's Tom, don't take it so serious. He called everyone mother****ers and *****uckers... Yea... He meant that too! What an *******!
And you are praising a guy you haven't seen play The Punisher. From what I've seen of Ray I think he'll do okay. That's it. I'm still on the fence... Your not, it's like you think he's the best thing ever!
BTW. Do you really think Ray cares? My guess is no.

Tom was a great Frank Castle. And there's no one I'd rather see play The Punisher more that Tom.
But Ray is playing him and I'm cool with that.

Who's the bigger loser, the guy bickering on the red carpet or the guy bickering on his computer?

Not impressed with what Jane said. I don't care if he was drunk or not. Jane's Punisher and the movie for that matter was lame, he has no room to talk.

None/both of them... depends on the case.:o

This is pretty bad. Jane turned the movie down not the other way around he should just let this go.

I'd be pissed about the movie if i were in Tom Janes shoes... but i wouldn't be angry at Ray Stevenson

Now that i listen to the tape... i don't even think he has any clue who Ray stevenson is, i don't even think he knows what he looks like.

If TJ really was dissing Ray in that interview it would be kind of f**ked up...But Jane is one funny guy for those comments, I know for damn sure hes wasted in that audio clip.

It sounds more like a challenge to me.

"You're not the real Punisher, I am!"

it almost sounded to me like he was saying no one knows him so he's not the punisher. which would be dumb.

It is kinda true. I don't know much about Tom Jane either before The Punisher. He wasn't exactly memorable when I went to see Deep Blue Sea.

Jane said he didn't who the guy was, not many ppl do and then he said he's The Punisher, humour there folks, just like when Keaton was asked about Bale and he said "I'm still Batman". Tom Jane seemed to fight hard to get a good sequel but they instead went for what we are getting.

As for Ray being twice the man..........

I believe I remember Dolph saying he didn't care much for Tom Jane either.

Thomas Jane would be wise to learn that it is never a good idea to pick on a man who is bigger than you.

in all honesty for someone who had a few drinks, it's a harmless comment.

Did you see The Punisher? He totally kicked Kevin Nash's ass :oldrazz:

First off to those who said Tom bowed out and not Lionsgate...that's not entirely true. Tom bowed out because Lionsgate refused to make the Punsiher movie Tom wanted, and Tom's Punisher film did not make anything at the box office. I really enjoyed the first film but it barely broke even at the box office.

My problem is Tom shouldn't be talking trash about his fellow actors, screenwriters, etc...Have some class and say "Good luck". Hell Kurt Russell made the same mistke with Gerard Butler but at least his position was quite a bit more emotional and had some merit. However Kurt shortly thereafter turned his tune to positive and said "good luck". Tom's a great talent but if he shoots his mouth off and tries to push around studios and talk trash about other actors he'll gain a negative reputation in the industry. I like his work but he was wrong from what I read.
