Thanks so much for your email and the great letters you sent our way. In addition to what you sent, we have received many letters from other fans, also expressing their desire to see an X-Men 4 movie – so many, in fact, that it is impossible to respond to all of them individually. We would, however, like to take this opportunity to respond to you and all the fans and say: “We hear you!”

The next film in the X-Men series will be “Wolverine,” starring Hugh Jackman. You can expect some announcements about this movie in the very near future. And we fully intend to continue to make more “X-Men” films with both old and new muties. So fans can rest assured that they will have many opportunities in the coming years to see their favorite characters on the big screen.

Yeah, the rights don't go back to Marvel unless 20th Century Fox decides to stop making X-Men films entirely. Their rumored time limit to make an X-Men related film is 3-5 years.

I thought the rites was going back to marvel? I thought that's why FOX derailed the franchise by killing off a lot of characters, screwing up Phoenix and trying to close the story so marvel would have a hard time starting the franchise back up.

Oh god i want FOX off the Xmen! That d@mn Tim Rothman and his "oh we're doing a Wolverine movie", Wolverine is not the Xmen. I can't wait until he and FOX sees that Wolverine is not going to make 200 plus million like the entire team of Xmen can.

Since the Logan spin-off release, one film by year, this means:

2008?: Wolverine
2009: Magneto
2010: X-men 4

Drop the Magneto film. Unless Claremont is writing the script, it's not going to be a very interesting movie.

Leave Emma out of X-4 entirely or have her simply be a villain.

Then they may do the film Zak Penn was talking about. If that doesnt work out they may do a totally new X-Men Trilogy, whether its realted to X3 or not. It could be 20 years later. Who knows.

I want FOX to get great moviemakers to make the X-Men films. Not 'Hollywood' filmmakers.

That is a great idea. Who wants to see a Magneto movie anyway? Yeah he's a great villain but this a franchise that consits of dozens of great characters. Why make a movie about one character when you can have them all? The Wolverine film is just to make bucks we all know that but i doubt a Magneto movie will be as successful as a Wolverine movie.

I really hope they get rid of Zak Penn before starting X4. The man can't write a good script o save his life. Singer threw out everything he contributed to X2 and it was the best film of the three. Zak was given free reign by Ratner and look what happened.
