Tom Rothman responds to the X4 campaign!

Thanks so much for your email and the great letters you sent our way. In addition to what you sent, we have received many letters from other fans, also expressing their desire to see an X-Men 4 movie – so many, in fact, that it is impossible to respond to all of them individually. We would, however, like to take this opportunity to respond to you and all the fans and say: “We hear you!”

The next film in the X-Men series will be “Wolverine,” starring Hugh Jackman. You can expect some announcements about this movie in the very near future. And we fully intend to continue to make more “X-Men” films with both old and new muties. So fans can rest assured that they will have many opportunities in the coming years to see their favorite characters on the big screen.

Fox gets to keep the X-Men rights as long as they make an X-Men related film in a specific time frame (rumored to be 3-4 1/2 years). So basically, they got the rights for as long as they want them.

I believe it is. They've had the rights for both of these franchises forever. More on that later.

If they make an X4, PLEASE involve characters that aren't just gonna sit around and not be important. Yes, Colosuss, I'm making an example out of you. Seriously though, bring in Jubilee, Siryn, Magma, Cannonball!
