I still don't care about multiplayer in Single person gaming

Movies or games? I think the text is confused here a bit
I expected the new one on its own, but they mention the series

This particular video is for tomb raider and they even aired on tv in north America. The full show had this and rocky for yesterdays episode in their countdown. The editor screwed up the text it might be an intern or the editor was just tired for all we know. As for tomb raider they're mentioning it all as a series both good and bad, new and old. And mentioning how it survived and how the protagonist has always been cool when the series was done right.

Tomb Raider Is Being Ported To Next-Gen Consoles. November 18, 2013 . 2:57pm

It looks like Tomb Raider is coming to next-generation platforms. The game has been rated in Brazil for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Tomb Raider hasn’t received its equivalent of the usual “Game of the Year” editions one normally sees, wherein all downloadable content is included out of the box, so this would probably provide a good opportunity for Square Enix to release one of those.

Note that this is different from the next-generation Tomb Raider game that is currently in development.

What DLC did TR have? Was their any single player stuff?

Most of the DLC was for MP, but I think there were a few extra costumes and maybe even some weapon upgrades.

Yup a fantastic game that probably could have been even better if they didn't force MP in it.

I haven't played any of the more recent games that have come out in the past month, or Bioshock Infinite, but this game is still a GOTY worthy game for me this year, just because of the single player. That's all I really needed.

I think theres been several titles that have been released since then to dethrone it. I didn't even think it was a strong GOTY when it was released. Definetly the best for Tomb Raider, but not the best of the year

Never even got a classic costume Lara DLC. Useless DLC for that game. Amazing single player though.

ok here's the thing we will just have to settle for the sequel of which they said is happening. Cause there's no GOTY happpening due to their stupid sale projections and the fact it was never reached for a GOTY to happen.

If the sales are better in the sequel we may see a goty, but it might be for that sequel instead.

As for DLC, if there was any more Story DLC they cut it short or with held it due to that same poor reasoning . There better not be any of that stupid "sales projections" for the sequel. That's all I have to say there.

Bought this game a couple of weeks ago, haven't had time to play through the whole story yet. It's a great game so far. Lara Croft is a great video game character.

Tomb Raider next-gen reveal teased, ports classified

A VGX reveal of Xbox One and PlayStation 4 ports for Tomb Raider is on the cards, after Square Enix responded teasingly to rumors this week. The Crystal Dynamics game cropped up on Brazil's ratings board with PS4 and Xbox One versions listed, while an Amazon Italy page (now removed) pointed to a PS4 port titled Tomb Raider: Definitive Version.

"It's so hard to keep a secret these days!" a Square Enix representative told IGN when approached. "We appreciate all of the enthusiasm, however we don't have any details to share just yet. That said, we highly recommend you keep an eye on any major gaming events happening in early December."

Given Square Enix's fondness for not responding to "rumor and speculation," we'd say it's time to raise some eyebrows. We can't say it doesn't make sense either: Lara's gritty reboot sold 4 million copies across five months on the current generation, and a next-gen port would help to stir interest in the already announced next-gen sequel.

Or, Square Enix could just be being coy about revealing that sequel rather than any ports, regardless of any classifications or listings. We don't know what to read into the publisher's playful winks and knowing smiles, but it seems likely we'll get some Tomb Raider news in a couple of weeks, when Spike TV's VGX awards show hits our screens on December 7.

I finally got my own copy of the game. Since it was used, I tested it to make sure it worked and boy did I forget how beautiful this game looks on the PS3. It really is one of the best looking games of the year, and I can''t wait to see how it improves when it hits next gen consoles.

I tried playing a demo of a tomb raider game for the PS1 a long time ago and couldn't get a grasp on the controls and got beaten badly. However, perhaps now that I've gotten better at playing games, if I could give the original trilogy a try and then later go on to the new game. I may do better now than I did back then.

Id prob just start off with the new one. Its pretty much fantastic through and through and its a reboot so you won't be missing any story elements or anything.

Finally got this game and beat it over the weekend. Can't waiy for the sequel!

Now after formatting the PC, I guess I might give this game another go

I would actually suggest playing through the Trilogy just for comparison's sake. I mean Anniversary is basically a remake of the original, only with better graphics, while Legend and Underworld continue with a similar gameplay style. But going from that to new one will really help show how much better it is now.

Of the old ones all you need to play is Legend
The rest can be ignored

I can't wait for the xbox one version of this. I'll gladly replay it. I hope they include a new game plus mode. It's the most obvious and easy thing for them to do. Also revised achievements, get rid of that online achievement garbage

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition has been announced, and it's not just a port.
