Jack the Giant Slayer I was expecting to snore my way through as so many people have been putting me off it. But it's honestly the most fun i've had at the cinema all year. It was just a simple, good natured, fun story, and I would pick it to watch again over all the others :)

Spring Breakers on the other hand, I expected a bit more from. But not only did it drag a lot for such a short film, it also left me with this depressed after taste... like 'man, the world is full of some horrible kinds of people... :( I definitely wouldn't recommend it to a friend, even though James Franco gave a great performance.

The Dark Knight Returns Part 2 - 8/10
Room 237- 7/10
Oz the Great and Powerful 6.5/10
A Good Day To Die Hard - 6/10

Honestly, this year has gotten off to a pretty slow start; nothing has really grabbed my attention, and most have looked suitable for rentals but not to trek out to the theater.

Only movies that I have seen in 2013 worth mentioning:

1. Side Effects
2. Trance
3. Lore
4. Stoker
5. Evil Dead

I have seen a few others. But movies like Hansel and Gretel or Spring Breakers just did not work. Just my opinion.

Trance is another one people have been trying to put me off. I might check it out still though :)

Side Effects most definitely is the best film I've seen thus far this year. A distant second would be The Place Beyond The Pines followed very closely by Oblivion. Nothing else is even worth mentioning. Will see Trance this weekend.

I can now recommend 42. That movie was highly enjoyable. I cannot wait to see The Place Beyond the Pines as well, but I keep putting it off these days.
