A nice list to be sure, but this is no joking matter. We have to take this seriously. That being said, I would switch Hulk and Savage. I'd move Bret Hart up one. And lastly, I'd throw the Rock in there instead of Koko Beware, because the younger athletes also need to be represented and the Rock has a charisma that is hard to beat today.

The problem with these lists is that they are kinda disparate given the international divide,if we are talking an overview of all countries i would suggest that Babe Routh,Michael Jordan and Pele are the only ones who would make it from the national Fav sports
Haile Gebrselassie would be in it as the greatest distance runner of all time
Roger Federer most likely would make the list
Carl Lewis and Sergi Bubka as well as Daley Thompson wwould be included
Muhammed Ali is a cert
Martina Navratilova would most likely also be included

I think it is very difficult to pick between Michael Jordan and Muhammad Ali, Ali was the greatest boxer, but I'd have to pick Jordan as the greatest athlete because there is no other athlete that stands out as clearly as he does as the greatest player in his or her sport.

This thread is interesting.

You see Ali and Jordan might be considered the greatest ever combatants of their respective sports,
but the term 'Athlete' as a stand alone concept actually has different connotations.

Greatest athlete would mean who had the most efficient bodies, or who were the fittest people ever.
Not who has the greatest ever skills in their chosen sport. Do you see what I'm saying?

So while Jordan is definitely the greatest basketball player ever, and Ali perhaps the greatest heavyweight boxer ever, If I were to compose a list of who I would consider the top 10 greatest trained, fittest athletes ever w/ the most efficient bodies, which is what I consider by the term 'Athlete' it would go something like this-
