Top 10 Most Ridiculous Action Scenes By IGN

McLane vs. The Jet should be hire. Completely ridiculous but still works because not even McLane believes it when he gets up.

Nada vs Frank was fantastic. Greatest fight scene ever.

Heat was ridiculous but not in the sense I think they meant. Its cool ridicuolous not stupid ridiculous.

The rest are just One Man Army scenes. All belong on a total other list. Greatest One Man Army Scenes (1 vs 100 scenes).

The bus jumping the unifinished highway in Speed was ridiculous. Arnold holding on to the outside of a commercial jet in Eraser was ridiculous.

I still haven't seen Shoot 'Em Up. Is it worth my time?

I didnt like it but I have seen a lot that have. I was actually surprised with my own hatred toward it. I like over the top and ricidulous action scenes but for whatever reason this one didnt sit right with me.

Hard Boiled deserves the top spot. IGN got it right.

Warning: This movie had terrible writing, and some pretty bad acting.

HOWEVER: The action is off the ****ing hook. It's not believable in the slightest, but it's downright FUN. The movie really is gun-porn, but the sequences are so well choreographed and flow so well you really won't notice the terrible...well, everything else in this movie.

If you can manage to shut off your brain for the duration of the movie, then yes. It's totally ****ing worth it. Paul G. hams it up, too.

Whenever I think of over the top action sequences Commando is the first one I think of, should have been much higher.

It's an hour and a half of totally mindless, over the top action. You've definitely gotta be in the right frame of mind to enjoy it, don't look for plot, just fun over the top gun battles. I enjoyed it for what it was.

Good list, and if you haven't seen Hard-Boiled, you need to. That final sequence has more action than West Coast Productions' entire catalog.

The ones I disagree with are The Bride vs the Crazy 88 and Neo vs Agent Smiths.

The Live Free or Die Hard one should be number 1. Never has any scene taken me out of a movie more, they really shoud've stopped after the 3rd movie.

Bobby... you've never seen Hard Boiled if you think that.

Agreed on Commando and Rambo III.

Another honorable mention should be Drago vs Rocky in Rocky IV..its 13 rounds of fist meets head.

True I haven't, I was just going off what I've seen

The description of the scene is nowhere near as insane as it actually is.

It even has the Die Hard 4 shoot the bad guy and yourself moment on top of everything else.

For the most part, some of their list is good. But HEAT?? Seriously?? It shouldn't be on there. That was the most realistic action scene on film. But oh well, the rest is fine, like Live Free or Die Hard, that was a pretty good example. That movie was filled with ridiculous action scenes.

I agree with you. You should know by the title alone of what you are about to watch. It's suppose to be mindless fun. And it worked.
