Marvel, DC, Image, Darkhorse, Wildstorm...

It doesn't matter the company.

Who, in your opionion, are the three most powerful living superheroes in all of comicbookdom?

This question excludes all comic characters that are not considered comic book superheroes (although, characters submitted with explanation for entry, if questionable, are gladly accepted).

Just curious what people are saying these days...

Thor
Silver Surfer
Sentry

nobody should complain that Marvel has weak heroes.

1) Superman -the only quote "real "unquote comic book character who has the right to be kicking everybody's ass and taking names!
and then there's
2) Wolverine -who through some Bull &^%$# from the writers has been made to not be able to be killed by Anything or Anybody. Boo!
3)Batman- who through some Bull&^%$ from the writers has been made to beat Anything and Anybody. Boo!

: Honorable mention goes to the RED HULK who through some campy ass ^%$# even by comic book standards has been able to beat anybody who has taken years for other people to beat in the span of 16 issues Boooooo!

I think the mention of Superman, Hulk, and the newly invincible Wolverine are great choices but I would be remiss if I didn't mention (in honor of the new possibility of reprints) MiracleMan. I mean the guy totally changed his world. He made contact with aliens, ended crime, made a race of supermen, stole all the nukes, AND talked smack to Margret Thatcher (not to mention create a society that rehabilitated Charles Manson). That's power that the Hulk couldn't smash.

Silver Surfer
The Sentry
Superman

Hulk and Ghost Rider JUST miss out for me as well.

Superman Prime (the golden one)

WWH

Rune Thor

in no particular order

Marvel Comics

Sentry
Hulk
Thor

DC Comics

Superman
Powergirl
Captain Marvel

Batman
Wolverine
Earth-27 Batman

Superman (One of the few that 'in character' are near invincible)
Thor (dudes a god)
Franklin Richards (he can bend reality to whatever he wishes...you can't get much more powerful than that.)

But Franklin could wish all three of them out of existance. :p

:ff: :ff: :ff:

Even though I think Franklins power level is rediculous, technically if he was old enough to control his powers, he could take anyone and throw them into, or parts of each one of them into different dimensions.

Man dont you know Batman has a contingency plan to take down other dimensional omnipotent 11 year olds!!( or however old that kid is). He has plans to take anybody down!:cwink:

you know the funny thing is i was kidding about that but dude was getting ready to take "Ace" down in Justice League when she was about to destroy reality. Damn!i liked him better when Killer Moth could beat him.

Hmm..
i'd say the top three would be..
superman prime
King Thor
the sentry/hulk

only if it were for the regular hero type...if you start getting into cosmic entities and gods (i know thors a god) then it can get a little silly.

Silver Surfer - Power Cosmic....duh

Orion - His fight with Darkseid in Death of the New Gods knocked Superman out several times with him admitting that he felt like a regular person when those two went at it.

Firestorm - The dude can turn anything into anything.

I would also consider Galactus, Darkseid, the Spectre, and Superboy Prime to all be more powerful than Thor (who has recently gone under a power decrease), the Sentry (his powers really haven't been fully explored enough to put him on any lists yet), Superman, etc.

yeah I agree with Hippie Hunter. I do not understand why so few people name Silver Surfer. Duh.
Silver Surfer and Dr Manhattan for sure.
Then, I would say Batman, the man is able to beat Darkseid, Superman, Aquaman, the whole Justice League, all this with just one hand, blind, deaf, in space, without air, and naked of course. :rolleye:

er.. im not really famaliar with Superman, but does Superman still have a weakness?
