I started that thread purely due to how crap gta4 was. Any how nice thread.

Metal Gear Solid 3 (ps2)
Maximum Carnage (megadrive / genisis)
Rock Band (360)
Spiderman (ps1)
Resident evil 2 (dreamcast port or gc port as you can be chris)

Runners up:

Silent hill 2
Viking battle for asguard
resident evil 4 ............plus every other resi ever made

Not necesarily the best games or my top 5 favorites, but as far as satisfying these 5 were top notch in delivering from beginning to end as well as going above and beyond as far as extras and/or replay value

1. Castlevania Symphony of the Night - best game ever made
2. Metal Gear Solid 3 Substance
3. Final Fantasy X
4. X-men Legends 1 - XML2 is definetly the better game and my favorite in the series, but XML captured the X-men in a way that no other game before it had. It was very satisfying for fans of the comic
5. Spider-man (PS1)

Diablo 2
I played the first on the Playstation, i still have it, i liked it a lot. Diablo II just blew my mind.

Max Payne
Never got so much pleasure in killing people.

Baldur´s Gate
The game that introduce me to the best developer around, Bioware.
Baldur´s Gate is still seen as one the 5 best gaming series ever made.

Icewind Dale
My first RPG...i still have a special place in my heart of the game.

Resident Evil 2
The first was superb, but this one was an all diferent ball game, one that many tried to imitate, all of them failed.
2 games in one, and the story changes depending with which character you play first.

Warcraft 2
The RTS that made me love the genre. The game that made me love Blizzard.

Final Fantasy VIII ( The only one with a satisfying ending that also had closure)

Star Wars Battlefront II (Being able to slaughter hundreds of Clone Troopers as General Grievous never gets old)

The Elder Scrolls VI: Oblivion (There's no game as huge and expansive as this. I mean...Jesus...There are still dungeons I haven't been to in the game)

Resident Evil 4 (One of the only games that both my brother and I play that I'm actually BETTER at than he is)

It's my favorite one.
And yeah, I liked Grievous, though I liked him more in Clone Wars than the films.

I'm another one, actually. FF VIII was the best of the post PS1 Final Fantasy games. I loved the romance story and the ending was fantastic.

Plus I absolutely loved the draw system.

I was playing it again recently and remembered how much I loved the Draw system.

Really? I hated it. Store up the best spells to NOT use them to boost my stats? No thanks, still love it though.

Yes, I loved the draw and junction system, as well. Plus, FFVIII's story was just so compelling and drew me in. I was sad when I finally beat the game.
