Who is the top comedic movie man of the 21st century thus far?

Will Ferrell.

Vince Vaughn

I would say Jason Lee because he is amazing, but it may be Kevin Smith syndrome

So I will go with Big T.

Swingers, Old School, Dodgeball, Wedding Crashers, he has the best resume of any of the names listed outside Bill Murray in totality, and probably the best since the start of 2000

Dave Chappelle. no movies, but his show was great

Tough call between Ferrell, Vaughn, Black, Stiller and Wilson, but I went with Vaughn.

Carrey's best work post 1999 has been dramatic. I think he's past his prime comedically except for Bruce Almighty.

I don't think Vince Vaughn is that funny and I think he knows. I honestly see him going into more serious roles and going away from comedy soon. You see 'The Break up?'

I disagree with Vaughn not being funny, but I agreed he'd fare very well in drama. He's this generation's Bill Murray IMO.

I do see that as well

But I still think he has a very funny persona, just the way he delivers normal lines, real subtley is genius, most of the stuff in Dodgeball, if given to anyone else would not be that funny, but Vince just has this way with speech. Like when he grabs the mic in the wedding in Old School from Luke Wilson, what he says isn't nessecarily funny, but his charisma, and showmanship is sheer brilliance.

Farell can be funny sometimes, Vaughan is funny in some situations, Carey is still funny. I say Jack Black is the funnest. No one comes close.

I'm sure the guy's cool and all, but Rob Schieder really shouldn't have a spot on that list. :o

Jim Carrey has always been funny to me, but he's gone more towards drama now. So I'm gonna give it to Vince Vaughn, with Ferrell in second. Ferrell can really ham it up sometimes and go over the top, but when he nails it, I love him. Vaughn on the other hand, always seems to have the perfect delivery, I'm never disappointed by him.

good god!
that was a toughie between Vince Vaughn and Will Ferrell!
this poll should have been double picks!:cmad:

but Vince Vaughn DID go the extra mile to make his comedy work and kiss a grown man on the lips... hawt.

From that list, Jim Carrey, his phsichal comedy its almost unbeatable nowadays, like a modern jerry lewis. Now he usually does more drama stuff but i doesnt care, his comedy stuff was gold.

Then Will Ferrell, the man is a very great comedian. Ben stiller is close. Jack Black is sometimes funny, VInce Vaughn the same. I hate with passion the rest of your list.

I dont consider jason lee as a comedian, good stuf in some another movies of different genere, but as a comedian i think that he sucks.

This one is a surprise to me so far. Vince Vaughn is far head with 8 of the 19 votes yet master comedic filmmaker Ben Stiller has 0. I never envisioned Voughn winning when I made this. I think people are confusing 'likable' with 'funny' because Vaughn may be the most likeable of those listed, I'll agree.

Jim Carrey used to be funny and Stiller and Wilson are funny every now and then, but no-one on that list is REALLY hillarious. Not the way John Cleese, Eric Idle and Rowan Atkinson (Blackadder, not Bean) are.

:cmad: You pansie!!! Those guys ain't nothin' but a bunch of... their okay but... If it wasn't for Monty Python... 'They took r jobs!!!!

Those guys can be compared with the monty phyton. The monty phyton were genious as a group or as individuals. See the solo work from terry giliam or from terry jones or from john cleese. They are comedic genious.

Rowan atkinson is another great comedian.

I think Terry Gilliam was a good comedic performer but genious? He has evolved from an above average comedian into a genious filmmaker.
