who are the industry top comic artist or artist in general?(old and new)

Rick Berry(eternals covers)

Keu Cha- Rising Stars artist. I think this book is highly underrated, and was a solid story.

Dale Eaglesham- His rendition of Catman is great and I love his take on Hawkman in Justice Society of America.

Patrick Gleason- Made an awesome Aquaman and a more awesome Green Lantern Corps, the use of shadows and coloring are great.

Kyle Baker- Draws a great plastic man.

Rags Morales- Love his work in Hawkman and JSA, he has a good way of showing emotion through his character's eyes. How could I forget his incredible job on Identity Crisis, which he was perfect for showing the Ralph's emotion and Sue's face when she first met Elongated man was priceless.

Carlos Pacheco
Daniel Acuna
Tony Daniel
Fernando Pasarin (his JSA fill in blew me away)

his JSA fill in was pretty meh. he needs to keep working on his pencils, especially on batman.

I disagree.I found his pencils pretty sharp. He nailed all the facial expressions and figures.Very clean style as supposed to the overdone work of someone like an Ed Benes who think more lines=more detail.

mcdaniels art is annoying, every inch of a character he draws looks like a ****in square, at least i can appreciate JRJR style and his anonomy is good. Eds art is too ****in cartoonish which upsets me because he's going to be on ultimates 3:(

I am bumping a pretty old thread rather than creating my own. Me and a friend from work were talking about our favorite artists. So in the aftermath of this conversation it got me thinking and reevaluation my favorite artists. Specifically DC Artists seeing as I am exclusively DC

I had Brett Booth as my number one after reading through Teen Titans a while back. Looking through it again the artwork is incredible. However with Justice League of America #4, or his variant for Superman Unchained, I thought it was of lower quality. Maybe he is just better with younger characters or something.

Some of my favorites are Kenneth Rocafort, Jim Lee, Tony Daniel, and Brett Booth. I am not familiar with Jae Lee but from his Batman/Superman Preview, it looks pretty good. David Finch is pretty good too.

Who are your guys favorite artists?

My favorites Jim Lee, Brian Hitch, Steve McNiven, Frank Cho, Kuberts, Tony Daniel, Amy Reeder---

Marvel Artists, I'm unfamiliar. All I really know of Hitch are his few variant covers for some dc titles.

Oh, and i forgot to mention Ben Oliver. Very unique in comparison to most other artists. Sort of reminds me of Alex Ross

I haven't really read any on his stuff in a long time, but Mark Bagley is great.

My personal favourites

Brian Bolland
Frank Miller
Lee Bermejo
Frank Quitely
Neal Adams
