He doesn't look or act like he's 55, and still capable of doing all his own stunts so what does it matter? In a few more years when he's a bit more wrinkly and grey then it might be less believable but I for one think he's still well able for the action stuff. Hell, Stallone is 70 and still pulling it off - to me it's more about attitude and dedication than age and Cruise is nothing if not dedicated to his craft.

Cruise should have a wheelchair chase in a future mission impossible movie. I don't think anyone has done that before on film.

He's in better shape than a lot of dudes in their 20s, you can't deny this.

I'm actually pretty excited for this. Not sure how good the story will be but with Kosinski you just know the flight sequences are going to be stunning :hmr:

Scary Movie 2 sort of? Or at least a wheelchair battle.

I'm so jacked for this. I've got to get on track with rebuilding my flight costume before the components become outrageously expensive.

I am actually pretty psyched for this

As much as I would love to see Iceman, sadly I don't think Val Kilmer is in the best health right now :csad:

I just don't them to be CG fests. The flight sequences in the original are still so great to watch.

Ehh. He's only three years younger than Moore in his last Bond appearance, but looks about 15 years younger.

Val needs to have some sort of cameo in this. Even if he doesn’t talk he has to be shown. he’s denying he was approached but he did get his hair cut like IceMan within the last few days. So here’s to hoping

They don't have to bring up his condition but what would his role even be? Iceman just standing in the back of a classroom? Watching Maverick teach?

Pretty much. Even waving and mocking the new recruit's that they won't make it either.

Shouldn't Goose's son be in his 30s? The original came out in 1986.

I bet they are going to fudge his age like Adonis.

I’d they’re starting filming already, shouldn’t there have been some casting announcements other than Cruise?

I'm guessing they want to wait to announce the cast with a big press release.

I mean at least he's more age appropriate for Goose's son than someone in their 20s.

Well look. The movie came out in 1986. Unless they want to say it was set in into the future, how do you fudge that his son is a young man in his 20s?

Why do I have flashes of Charlie Sheen in Wall Street 2.
