I can only think of a few right now that ended prematurely(I wouldn't want to mentioned any shows that indeed ran their course and should have ended): John Doe, The Cape, A Gifted Man and The Spectacular Spider-Man.

Most of mine have already been mentioned, but I'll throw The Shield into the mix.

Mine are:

1. LOST
2. Nip/Tuck
3. Smallville
4. Angel
5. Fringe
6. Seinfeld
7. The Sopranos
8. Friends
9. Battlestar Galactica
10. Rome

In no particular order:

X-Files:
This is a classic show that deserved a conclusion, the film was it's last hope and they instead made something that wasn't related to the 2012 colonisation.

Firefly:
This one's obvious, it deserved more than one season

Buffy the Vampire Slayer:
It had a great ending, but it's a shame it ended already.

Angel:
Unlike Buffy it didn't get a proper ending, i know the comics continue the story but this show definitelly deserved to last longer, such a shame WB wasn't as forgiving of the ratings as CW is.

Spectacular Spider-Man:
This one's a no brainer, this amazing show was cancelled and instead we got a dumb spider-man cartoon.

Batman the Animated Series:
Anybody misses this? I'm still waiting for a Batman show like this that makes me anxiously waiting for the next episode

Malcolm in the Middle:
How i miss this show and it's humor, the only comedy worth watching now is How i met your mother.

One Piece (in the USA)
The show didn't end yet but in the USA it's off the TV, aparently it was cancelled twice, the first time it was because of the terrible censorship that deleted blood and replaced cigaretes for lolipops and that deleted entire arcs, the second time was doing good ratings, but since the president of cartoon network at the time didn't want animes in his network used the excuse that it wasn't making Naruto numbers to cancel it.

It's a shame since this is possibly the best long running anime out there, if it followed the manga from which it's based on more closelly with a faster pacing and had a better animation i would dare say that it was better than Batman: The Animated Series.

X-Men Evolution:
The 5th season was going to be awesome, i know fans rate Wolverine and the X-Men high but i didn't like it as much.

Chuck:
have yet to watch the last season, but the humor, characters and plot were great, wish there were more shows like this

1. The Twilight Zone
2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel (yep I'm cheating, but they are one big show to me)
3. The Wire
4. Deadwood
5. Battlestar Galactica (2004)
6. The Sopranos
7. Friends
8. Firefly
9. Pushing Daisies
10. Veronica Mars

Honorable Mentions: Rome, Wonderfalls, Dead Like Me, Dollhouse, Batman: The Animated Series, Lost, Alias, Damages, Freaks and Geeks

Arrested Development really belongs on both lists for me since it's my favorite show of all-time and I didn't know which one to put it on, considering it hasn't made its return yet, lol.

In no real order...and I consider these that did not have a conclusion, or ended off on a cliff hanger. Did not try to have ones that had a good run (Like Buffy) which had time to wrap up it's endings, or it's main story line.

3) Pushing Daisies
4) Firefly
5) Life (Damion Lewis)
6) Soap
7) Greg the Bunny
8) Tru Calling
9) Earth 2
10) Dead Zone (Just because of the cliff hanger ending)
11) Mork and Mindy

Not really a top 10 show but Daria was cool.
Also My So Called Life, just wish it had a second season or an actual ending with closure.

My Name is Earl
