TOSHIBA Three-Layer Disc Combines DVD, HD DVD

That would be great... but there have already been HD-DVD/DVD combo discs in stores.

1.) THIS IS A NEW PATENT AND TECHNOLOGY.......THERE'S NOTHING AVAILABLE LIKE IT, ATM. :huh:

2.) THE FACT THAT IT'S 'TOSHIBA', AND SHOULD BE AVAILABLE BY EARLY NEXT YEAR, MAKES IT MORE RELEVANT TO THE '360'.

The difference here is that the HD-DVD and SD-DVD is on the same side. These are Single-sided Dual-Format disks. :up:

Blu-Ray can do the same thing, so it's not like this will help or anything. And really, I doubt this would help anyone transition. Cheaper players and cheaper HDTVs are all that's going to help.
