Who do you think has done better, I know there a difference of 13 series but man, Hasbro has really made some impact.

Ladies and gentleman...begin!

I'll begin,

Toy Biz definetly change the way of collecting action figures with inbeleivable articulation, great paint apps, availiability... but they had one great fault....Too much different versions of already done characters like Wolvie, IM...to say some. Thats not a bad thing but, hey...Hasbro in two series(already out) and in the series to come...have given us character we have been begging TB for the past six to seven years. Count in a freaking decent Blob, Annahilus, an Ult. Iron Man just everybody can get(not like the ultimate, I know this one is cooler, but not ML), the coming Spidey and FF series, the rumored Hulk series, the Walmart two packs exclusives....man A Stan Lee fig!!!...

Hasbrro seem to be more collector driven(I know they are thinking of income), but still they are making figs for us, HYDRA goon, Brood queen, those figs will not be bought by the boy in the corner, no that figures are for us, something TB never did.

I know the S3 and FF lines sucked, but we were al over the internet complaining, and what? They came out with sone good 6 inch figs...for us(and income, I know) but still they did it.

Obviously my vote is for Hasbro... and if they have somebody reading this, "keep up the good work, and keep up making new characters for us, this is what is all about for me, a 29 yr old collector, new character and great figs with good paint apps and lots of articulation.

I will buy like... all the HYDRA goon that come in my way!!!!! :woot:

Now So I'd still go with Toybiz. While they did give us a ****load of wolverines and iron mans all of them were comic book accurate also Hasbro series 1 had a Iron Man and series 2 had a wolverine. Also while I am impressed with wave 4 immensely wave 1 was very disappointing for me and wave 2 was so so seeing I don't want any X3 Figures but want Blob.Wave 3 looks good but it took them until wave 3 to get near toybiz quality. Also toybiz gave us a great selection of characters both very popular and b and even c list guys.Who besides die hard comic fans know who deathlok and Beta Ray Bill are?Hasbro is moving in the right direction but it's not Toybiz yet.

When looking at Marvel action figures, Toybiz will never be topped. Ever.

In terms of who is the better toy company? I'd say hasbro. They have GI Joe, Star Wars, and Transformers. Lines that are decades old and span hundreds of characters.

But when it comes to Marvel Legends and marvel figures, no one will ever be able to compete with Toybiz/Marvel Toys. Toybiz's ML1 has figures that still outshine Hasbro's ML crap.

I think the main reason is that hasbro will never top some of Toybiz's paint and articulation quality. Yea, Toybiz had it's duds, but I look at XMC3 Rogue, Avalanche, Colossus, all of the Face Off figures, ML15, the Sentinel, Galactus, hell, even though he's tiny, Mojo still beats the Blob in aesthetics.

But Hasbro is able to do things "differently better" than Toybiz, such as exclusives, better shipping, and perhaps durability. But it still will never compare with ML.

really I mean toybiz gave us

ML1 Hulk
ML9 1st App. Hulk
ML12 Maestro
ML Face Off Hulk vs. Leader
ML13 Abomination

Most of the toys I have came from ToyBiz, my newest set is from Mega Blocks.

I cannot vote.

Toybiz rocks seven ways from Awesome......but Hasbro....Hasbro gave me Quicksilver.

I'll reserve my vote until we hear final conformation on the Hulk FFF waves. Hasbro has the potential to do a lot better than the stuff that's already been released. But I'm really happy with the FF line so far, and also I can't wait to finally get my FA daredevil.

But I think the FFF wave would really sell hasbro in my book. Also, I am very curous to see what kind of Iron Man figures they'll pump out to coincide with the movie. If they make a comic accurate Iron Man line of nothing but Iron Man figures, then I'll be really happy. Especially if they give us a big handful of Iron Man foes.

really I mean toybiz gave us

ML1 Hulk
ML9 1st App. Hulk
ML12 Maestro
ML Face Off Hulk vs. Leader
ML13 Abomination

well...i don't like ML1 Hulk. he's got a bad head sculpt and his arms go down to his knees. ML9 1st App. Hulk? How does this:
ml9_hulk1.jpg

look like this?
230px-Hulk1.jpg

that's right. it doesn't.

ML12 Maestro. I like this toy a lot, however I liked this Maestro toy more, though it may not be in scale with the other legends:

I really have nothing bad to say about the ML Face Off Hulk vs. Leader, since the 2 toys that it came with are, in my opinion, the 2 best versions of the characters we've ever gotten....even though i was only ever able to find the variant (i would've preferred the big brain-ed leader rather then the skinny head)

i like the ML13 Abomination we got...so again...nothing too bad here.

So all in all, TB did a decent job with giving me Hulk toys...but to include a Planet Hulk in the first wave of their ML line won the vote for me.

I voted Hasbro, I mean... my Transformers collection is my pride and joy, and although they seem to love re-paints, I just need a new Transformer every week.

I know what you mean...but TB had almost seven years to create those legends..... Hasbro is entering his first year and....man who would ever think we will be getting Cannonball and Domino, Marvel girl...those magnificent FF series figs..... man they are trying to plese us...the legends hardcore fans. I know wave 1 wasn't that good... man but still we got Herc, Banshee, Anahilus... never before mede figs. My point, variety, diversity, they actually are making me happy! I'm pleased with what is coming. Are you guys pleased???

I cannot vote.

Quicksilver..... man we got Deathlock before Quicksilver.... not good. Rough, pal, you should vote ...........(H)lol

Hasbro has some of the worst sculpts compared to the ToyBiz lines. Not to mention the Hasbro toys arent as detailed and just feel cheaply done compared to ToybiZ

Now, i chose Toybiz for the quality, i liked the paint jobs and articulation better... but i will say this for hasbro... hasbro mass produces alot easier and isn't as afraid of variants or obscurity

actually.... theres usuing some of the same sculpters.. and there sculpting actually isnt bad its just there paint jobs

Yeah, but TB achieved that with the years, do you remembers the first waves from TB....Hulk, Thing, Red Skull, Daredevil....they got better....

And I think so will HAsbro. Just look how they improved from series two to three and then from there to the Spidey , FF and eventually fourth(actually sixth) series...:wow:

you have to go back and rethink this
lets wipe away toybiz ever happening
hasbro decides to start marvel legends,it would have started basically the same way, then after 18 series we would have been getting blackbolt, nova, that cheeta girl, etc after they gave us tons of ironman and wolverine
i like how after you listed those two you said "to name some"
those are the ONLY 2 people complain about, and no one really complains about ironman b/c he has so many different armors, and wolverine has also had so many different looks PLUS these 2 sell, thats not weird
its like complaining about too many r2d2s or something, kids buy that, they buy wolverine

Count in a freaking decent Blob, Annahilus, an Ult. Iron Man just everybody can get(not like the ultimate, I know this one is cooler, but not ML), the coming Spidey and FF series, the rumored Hulk series, the Walmart two packs exclusives....man A Stan Lee fig!!!...
again, toybiz would have done these characters too, and annhilius propably would have came out in the purple color he was supposed to come out with initially

Hasbrro seem to be more collector driven(I know they are thinking of income), but still they are making figs for us, HYDRA goon, Brood queen, those figs will not be bought by the boy in the corner, no that figures are for us, something TB never did.
b/c at first toybiz was putting out regular characters everyone wanted, who would have ever expected manthing, dethlok,MODOK,and destroyer would ever get made, if they kept the liscence i guarantee they would have gotten around to this also

bottom line, if you want to compare hasbro and toybiz, compare things that really can be compared like paint jobs, articulation, distribution, how many break, etc etc
dont compare character selection b/c this line would never have lasted if toybiz's series one was blackbolt, tigra, yellowjacket, and ultimate wolverine
*que 8 people saying* I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT THAT WAVE!
so what, collectors dont make up the big market, wouldnt have worked

i dont hate hasbro, ive bought tons of their product, but toybiz wins, and the legendary comic book heros line made me remember what was so good

the sculting is the same, its just the articulation thats different...

wave ones iron man, cap, and hulk, wave 2's, thing, doom, torch, wave 3's ghostrider, wolverine, thor, and all of wave 4 had great articulation...
Hulk and thing had less... but still a very good amount, and no more or less then hasbros stuff...

red skull and daredevil were just a fluke though...

but no hand, wrist, finger, torso (in some like spidey line), hip crunch (in some), no foot pegs, and the "hasbro" joint, all need to be fixed in order to get on par with Toybiz articulation

but articulation has nothing to do with the sculpt... there sculpting is on par with eachother

The Bro needs to improve Paint and Articulation... and GET RID of the SIGMA SIX JOINTS!!! THEY SUCK!!!

The Bro needs to improve Paint and Articulation... and GET RID of the SIGMA SIX JOINTS!!! THEY SUCK!!!

But they are doing those on a by character basis. they see what paint and articulation fits the character...or so they say...what character needs a bland paint app and little to no articulation? Come on Hasbro!

In my opinion, it's been all about Toybiz when it comes to the subject of Marvel figures.
I've only bought one Hasbro fig, and that's She-Hulk. It was the only figure I wanted...nothing else in the previous two lines did anything for me.

Hopefully that might change with the FF line, I want myself some Ronan

lol, thats just a mechanical response for them too... now some figs do need less articulation... females in most cases due to if they have more articulation, they loose there feminine shape... but that still doesnt mean the knee and elbow joints are ok...

the poll is closed? i didn't get to vote. I wanted to wait for conformation on the hulk waves.
