Seems to be happening. Even Biden called him Donald to humanize him. Like others said here, now there's a risk of mixed messaging.
Yes. And the answer to that isn't to let the pathetic, spineless messaging of "aw gee I hope the threat to democracy is doing okay" stand unobstructed.

Seems to be happening. Even Biden called him Donald to humanize him. Like others said here, now there's a risk of mixed messaging. We can't even really say he brought it on himself even thought I think he obviously did.

The problem is Biden and his campaign staff are all "norms and traditions". I mean, even in 2020, when they were going after Biden, not a word on Jarvanka or JR.

Violence is happening no matter what. Letting it silence the truth is the worst possible response. No way we should “stop picking on him” now. He’s as much a threat as ever, if not more so. So keep shouting the truth from the rooftops as much as possible.
"And I did nothing" is a cliche for a reason.

In case people can't read it:

This shocking incident will have just won Trump the presidency

By Poppy Coburn

It was the shot heard around the world.

Former President Donald Trump, speaking at a rally in the swing state of Pennsylvania, seemingly narrowly dodged certain death after gunshots sounded, apparently clipping his ear.

Trump was hurried away by Secret Service as the crowd screamed around him.

There were multiple shots - and yet, the presidential hopeful stood defiant. Shouts of horror quickly turned to ecstatic calls of “USA, USA!”.

A picture of the former president covered in blood and holding his fist to the air is bound to define the election cycle, one of the most powerful - regardless on one’s political opinion - of modern times.

We do not yet know the motive or identity of the shooter. But it is still worth considering the extreme polarisation that permeates the United States at the current moment.

Comments made by sitting President Joe Biden speaking of a “bullseye” on Trump, and tweets about him being a would-be “dictator” will, justified or not, lead to extreme scrutiny of remarks made by the White House prior to this seismic event.

Fundamentally, there is now little to no doubt that Donald Trump will now become the 47th president of the United States of America.

His campaign, already trouncing Joe Biden in a number of key swing states, can only benefit from this public act of bravery in the worst of circumstances.

The American people will not forget the words Trump appeared to utter as he was ushered off the stage: “fight, fight”.

You people and your memes don't phase me at all.

I will boldly praise the Lord that this man was not murdered... I will also pray for the individual who did lose their life today, at that rally. It's heartbreaking to hear that someone else's life was taken because of a person, an evil, sick, twisted, vile person

I could share how I really feel and also quote some of the celebrities, and the senators,, and what they said about Trump, And what they wanted to do to the White House while Trump was in office... but I'm not going to. All of you already know who I'm talking about, so I'm just gonna say this:
God bless Donald Trump
God Bless America
Trump 2024

Well that's depressing. :(

Maybe it was staged otherwise how did only the tip of his ear get hit very conveniently? Was the shooter so poor? Maybe he wasn't a poor shot at all.

The shooter has been identified as a 20 year old man from Pennsylvania - the conservative tabloid NY Post claims to have published his name in that link.

“We noticed the guy bear-crawling up the roof of the building beside us, 50 feet away,” he said. “He had a rifle, we could clearly see a rifle.
“Why is there not Secret Service on all of these roofs here?” he asked. “This is not a big place. (It’s a) security failure, 100% security failure.”
“The bullets rattled around the grandstand, one hit the speaker tower and then chaos broke. We hit the ground and then the police converged into the grandstands,” Chris Takach said.

“After we heard the shots got fired, then the hydraulic line was spraying all around, you could see the hydraulic fluid coming out of it. And then the speaker tower started to fall down,” Dave Sullivan said. “Then we heard another shot that, you could hear, you knew something was, it was bullets. It wasn’t firecrackers.”

Pennsylvania is an open carry (firearms) state.

I sounds like he may have got hit by glass, so likely a barrier was hit. But we will see as more info comes out.

He supports Trump. It's all one obvious contradiction.
“God bless those who agree with me and share my morals and political and religious views, but as for everyone else, f**k ‘em, they can go to hell.”

I still detest Donald Trump but I’m glad he’s doing well. A political assassin is never good for a country but it’s especially bad in this climate. Will Trump use this for political gain? Of course that’s inevitable and to be expected.

I don’t trust conspiracy theories. Anyone can pull one out of their butt and it’s usually pretty obvious. I’m not sure what happened today and I’m waiting for more info to come out. I know nothing about the specifics about the weapon used.

I admit, it’s strange that the shooter got off so many shots and only managed to knick Trump’s ear. I’m also surprised that the secret service seemed to take so long to get to Trump and get him out of the area. When you see the film of the Reagan assassination attempt, you never saw Hinckley because he was immediately tackled by the authorities. Their speed was amazing.

Then again, Trump always liked to take risks and disregarded safety measures so maybe some kind of attempt was inevitable.

But like I said, we need to learn a lot more.

Pennsylvania is an open carry (firearms) state.
The Washington Post: "The person believed to have fired shots at Donald Trump’s campaign rally is a 20-year-old Pennsylvania man, according to a person familiar with the investigation. The suspected shooter used an AR-15-style semiautomatic rifle, a U.S. official said."

AR15 -- the mass shooter's weapon of choice.

That feels like the wrong weapon for a long range attempt. But when you're a registered Republican, it's a go to in most situation.

Will this fix this level of stupid because I doubt it.

Wonder how Trumpers will feel about gun rights after their messiah got shot at
