Trump literally inspired psychopaths to attack the Capitol on January 6, kidnap a sitting Democrat governor, and send bombs (the MAGA bomber) to all of Trump’s “enemies.” That’s only some and very far from all, there’s a really long list.

So if you actually want to talk about political violence there is a reason why the FBI, CIA, and DHS all say that the number one domestic terrorism threat in this country is the far right.

Not to be that guy but an AR-15 at 100 or so meters isn't that difficult of a shot for someone with even decent experience especially if it had any sort of zoom scope but I could probably make that shot with the iron sights without a problem.

The media softballing about him is how he ended up in office the first time. No, when someone is a threat to democracy itself it is their responsibility to say it as loudly and often as humanly possible. They failed in their responsibilities in 2016, straight-up.

Trump and Republicans are going to try to make this whole election now about Trump being a “martyr.” When the reality is - violence follows Trump everywhere he goes because he invites it in.

He energizes extremists and THAT should be the message.

Rather than Biden and co bowing down to Trump. Now is the time to bring back images of January 6, Gretchen Whitmer being kidnapped, the MAGA bomber sending out bombs to all of Trump’s enemies, Heather Heyer, how after Trump condemned a minority group that group was met with a rise in hate crimes against them including mass shootings.

There is a VERY easy way to combat Trump’s “oh woe is me, I’m a martyr now” narrative and that is - reminding people what his four years in office was actually like because of - HIM.

My hope is that since Biden and co are helping to make Trump into a martyr that The Lincoln Project steps up and spreads these reminders everywhere.

From seeing their angle and that they aren’t afraid of getting in the mud with the elephants, I have a feeling they’re thinking along the same lines in terms of how to combat what Trump and Republicans will now want the messaging to be.

They want violence to be a talking point? Okay, we make it one and we have A LOT more receipts. It’s very easy to turn that table, one just has to do it (hopefully The Lincoln Project will).

If anyone is wondering why I have no sympathy at all for Trump: as a latino bisexual first generation immigrant living in a red state, one of my constant memories was feeling like a target was on me. That’s because every time Trump tweeted or spoke, his red shirts would literally target us. I lost count of the number of mass shootings against my communities.

Trump getting back in doesn’t scare me, I have faith in the balances and checks as they held him in place the last time. My greatest fear is his psychopathic devotees and how he can rile them up to kill for him.

Yeah, we have issues to deal with like cost of living, but nowhere near the polarization that you guys have. Our Supreme Court is also not overly politicized and we have a cap on donors so that makes a huge difference.

Unlike the US, Canada's majority voters are swing voters that adhere to the pendulum effect. We voted to give the Liberal 3 straight administrations, now it's time to give the Conservatives a chance.

Nobody wants a one party state.

To be honest this is not a make or break issue in Canada. Education and healthcare is a provincial sphere so the provincial legislatures and premiers deal with it. If they take it too far, the Courts are a rational and dependable backstop.
