He can call someone Lyin' Kamala, make comments about her race, claim she's responsible for immigration problems (ie exploiting xenophobia and racism), but if she points out that he's a convicted felon and found guilty on all 34 counts by a jury of his peers (actually they are most likely better people than him, so it's tough to think of them as peers), THAT'S off limits.

He begins with talking about the prisoner exchange, but doesn’t know how to organically move into talking about her and just stutters and stumbles right to talking about the most basic, tired old, talking points (most left-wing, low IQ).

And, maybe it’s just that audience, but from watching that video, it seems that even a lot of his base are maybe starting to get a little bit tired of him doing the same song and dance he’s been doing for the past eight years.
