To rational americans its insane to, unfortunatly many in this country they have taken the meaning of the second amendment to heart and made it almost religious, i dont know how many times i have heard a right winger say its their gid given right to carry a gun, this country idolizes the idea of having a gun, the old west comes to mind, if you base everything we know about the old west virtually everyone had a 6 shooter on their hip, was it actually that way, meh, probably not, but the NRA has every politican in their pockets, both republican and democrat, democrats are more open to common sense run laws, but what we are seeing here of late is people getting weapons even with red flag warnings, the guy in Kentucky who shot 7 people on a freeway was on bail from making terrorist threats, still went to a gun shop and bought an AR-15 and 1-2 thousand rounds or ammo, he should have been denied those weapons, there used to be a 15 day wait period but those are gone now.
This guy is a Trump voter with mental issues, who was also a covid conspiracy nut, yet he had weapons, tactical vest and ammo, plus we have Elon Musk twitting the question why no one has tried to kill Biden or Harris, so thats out there now, and frankly elon should be investigated for making threats against a sitting president.
