They would have to make a new Constitutional Amendment that would negate the 22nd Amendment. But if they did do that, they'd risk having to have go against Obama in 2028. Also, that Amendment would require a 2/3s vote in the Senate. They don't have that type of majority. I think they have what, 53 now? They'd need 66 or 67 to approve it

Has Obama ever said he would want to run again? And would he even be able to beat Trump given how Trump has galvanised his White Supremacist base?

I want to say he was asked about that years ago when Trump said something about a 3rd term, and his response was that he wouldn't be against running again if that happened. If memory serves

The part of this that is absolutely correct is that many Latinos are "worried" about immigration now that THEY are here. Of course, many, many Latino citizens are also concerned about deportations.....for obvious reasons, but bought the simplistic economic message brought by Trump.
