Transformers Transformers mentioned in NY Times

...?

I always thought the idea behind Transformers is to watch giant robots beat the crap out of one another, not environmentalism.

I always thought the idea behind Transformers is to watch giant robots beat the crap out of one another, not environmentalism.

It was about 90% robots beating the crap out of each other and 10% enviromentalism.

Bay's movie seems to be like 35% robots beating the crap out of each other, 30% nerd bonding with hot chick and 35% military propaganda.

sounds like a remake of small soldiers. This time with big robot ones.

Maybe SS was originally meant to be a transformers film. Noooo, couldn't be...

In an article about "environmentally themed" movies coming out.

It's misleading because they didn't keep the environmental themes of the original. The writers buried it because Michael Bay is a neocon. Instead of fossil fuels they're fighting for a magical artifact. :whatever:
In the real Transformers, Decepticons were built for war purposes while Autobots were consumers and slaves who were forced to learn to fight to free themselves from tyranny.

I wonder why a war-monger neocon like Bay decided to leave that out and omit the environmental themes COMPLETELY. :whatever:
