On another note, the new Leader Class Prime is almost as good as the real thing. Its incredibly accurate! Its an actual origami to transform! Dont know how good the jetfire combo will be. I personally dont like the combo so i dont care all that much. (Seriously now, Prime barely gets any chest protection from the combo. What's the point?)

i was always use to the guy who voiced him in the cartoons starting with beast warsd, had no idea who cullen was til the movie came out

Same with me kinda. I started on Beast Wars and saw SOME of the old series. When Toonami was on, I'd always hear Peter Cullen and know it was him, but despite how familiar it was I'd never make the connection that he was Optimus Prime. At least not until the movie, anyways. Many of my friends were like that too. And the newer generation got the Optimus Prime voice from the dubbed anime.

That was really, really bad! The toy is even worse. Its basically Prime on stilts with a carcass on his back, and 2 pads on his abs. What an upgrade!

Agreed, but I do love both designs individually.

True enough.....but since the topic was how his voice is as recognizable as Vaders I dont see how a line from a comic is relevant.

No less the post I was replying to the implied idea that its is as famous a "catch phrase" as his transform and roll out line is.

I imagine that is an extremely arduous toy to design. Considering that I think they did a good job on it.

Im sure some one will mod it out to make it look more screen accurate unless hasbro uses their evil marketing schemes and do it first.

i say how they hell is that a child's toy. you need a degree in engineering to combine them. i would just rather have a die cast model with maybe a few movable parts thats if i got one that is i wouldn't want that. it has to be CRAZY hard to dust

As I said, they did it to humanize him. He wears it in battle and when he talks, him moving his mouth certain ways shows body language as well.
