It's tough because Bumblebee is a spy, but Jazz is a saboteur/special ops. Both jobs suit the situation, really.

The thing is that they're both different missions that end in different ways. So what I've been trying to say for a while now is that there's no reason why both storylines can't be possible without having to make a compromise to either one.

Jazz doesn't save anyone's life like Bumblebee does. In fact, he doesn't save a damn thing. He fails at stopping the Decepticons' failsafe plan to crash the Ark (which has to happen anyway to keep the basic Transformers plotline), and the most Jazz can do is bring the Decepticons down with them.

EBJ, I firmly believe that Sentinel Prime would not sanction two spies trips to discover Megatron's plans.

But that makes no sense, even in the real world. If Bumblebee died, then there's no one to back him up or bring word back to the others.

Plus, I always have to keep typing this for some reason, Jazz is not on the same mission as Bumblebee. He doesn't have the same specific objectives. I never said he did; that was all you. In fact, I kept out the details so far because I like to keep the suspense, but whatever now . He's been operating for a while just to get dirt on the Decepticon's activities. Nothing specific about a bomb or the Ark. He just happens to come across the plans for the failsafe.

Jazz is not a spy.

I'm not taking any moral high ground. Both of us would be in the wrong by doing that out of spite.

And I still don't see why a compromise was necessary at all. Please explain already.

do you remember in OU when i asked if Bily Batson could be the new Bucky to your captain america?

you said no because you didnt think it would be in IC for steve to have a teenage sidekick.

i dont think it would be IC for SP to sanction two spy trips, twice the liklihood of getting caught.

Well, that's the thing. If I'm following Spike right. Jazz does it on his own accord. He disobeys SP and takes down the Decepticons ship.

Okay, so other than Prime's authorization (who cares about my above post, after all?), since I can work without it and it doesn't affect the story either way, do you have any other quibbles or curveballs you want to throw my way to try and derail Jazz's story?

Both of you are derailing the RPG. If everyone is going to continue to act like children, then I will treat you like children.

I mean, good God, I feel like a goddamned parent here. There was no reason for this debate (if you can even call it that) to go on this long, and it's being handled in the most childish way I've ever seen in any RPG.

I do apologise for acting immature, which comes from trying so hard to get answers for why I have to have a compromise or change the story in any way, without any answers to show for the effort. That's my motivation for keeping this going, but it doesn't excuse me. Again, my apologies to everyone here who had to read that.

With that, I will go ahead and type up my posts for Jazz's actions without Sentinel Prime's authorization, which would've been nice to have, but I don't require it for the story at all.

For future reference, keep disputes in PM and out of the OOC thread. If a solution still cannot be worked out, take the problem to myself, Syn, or 9x17.

Everyone here is equally capable of handling problems in a mature, orderly fashion.

I tried to do it maturely at first, getting only frustration from a lack of answers and a long string of mysterious question-dodging as a result, and then asked for a GM's input to settle it either way. And now here we are.

But that's enough about that. As far as I'm concerned, both stories are free to go as originally intended.

Sentinel Prime as autobot leader, decided to send Bumblebee, the autobot spy character , to infiltrate Megatron's lair and discover how Megatron is planning to destroy the ark.

Jazz is infiltrating a Decepticon aerospace lab after hearing rumors that something is causing a fuss among the staff at the facility, where he discovers the failsafe virus that the Decepticons are planning to use to crash the Ark, in case all else fails to kill the Autobot crew.

Ok. So what I am getting is Bumblebee was anctioned to go by Sentinel Prime, and Jazz is going of his own acord because he knows the consequences if he doesn't. Does Jazz know Bumblebee was assigned to the mission?

Jazz exfiltrates the facility, attracting the attention of the guards and stopping him from leaving. He's forced to sneak onboard the Nemesis as it takes off to chase the Ark.

Bumblebee races back to disarm the bomb and warn Sentinel Prime. Prime then sacrifices himself so that ark can take off and passes the matrix to optimus

my issue with that is if bumblebee doesnt discover the failsafe he didnt completely suceed in his mission to find out how megatron is planning on blowing up the ark
