Movie titles often get translated in foreign countries. Some of these translations are good, some are bad, and some are hilarious. I'm posting some, and anyone who isn't American and has an example is free to join. Here's a few from Brazil.

Original Title: "Shane"
Translated Title: "Os Brutos Também Amam" ("The Brute Also Love").

Original Title: "Giant"
Translated Title: "E Assim Caminha a Humanidade" ("And Thus Goes Humanity").

Original Title: "To Kill a Mockingbird".
Translated Title: "O Sol é Para Todos" ("The Sun is for Everyone").

Original Title: "Midnight Cowboy".
Translated Title: "Perdidos na Noite" ("Lost in the Night").

Original Title: "It's a Wonderful Life".
Translated Title: "A Felicidade Não Se Compra" ("Happiness Can't Be Bought").

Original Title: "The Godfather".
Translated Title: "O Poderoso Chefão" ("The Powerful Boss").

Original Title: "Jaws".
Translated Title: "Tubarão" ("Shark").

Original Title: "Taxi Driver".
Translated Title: "Taxi Driver: Motorista de Taxi" ("Taxi Driver: Taxi Driver").

The Girl Who Played with Fire - De vrouw die met vuur speelde

(Thids are the titels from the Dutch translation of the novels and with the first vijf dvd's/BD's it get those Dutch titles also on the cover. Strange enough and disapointed in my opnion this not happend with the 6th, 7th and 8th movie.)

As very tale Rapunzel is known as Raponsje or Rapunzel. Not confuse this with Repelsteeltje (Rumpelstiltskin)
