I think trilogy would be better choice, because there are all logical storylines in Spidey 3.

4,5 and 6 will look like big disappointments. Besides I dont want another new director who would ruin everything, what Raimi made.

The same problem with cast.

It would be much better with having just a perfect and well ended trilogy and 20 years later new beginning, than the whole unnecessary serial.

So what you think?

if they sign the original cast for the next 3 then by all means do it, but if they want to replace everyone then hell no, only 3

Every time a new movie comes out, it leaves me wanting more...and you know they're gonna make more anyway! Sony is concerned about MONEY, not whether or not the series is going to be ruined by making another movie! Besides, Raimi and the cast could be back for more...i just hope that if they do make another movie, that they have the same cast, otherwise it might go downhill.

stop at 3 then restart the franchise in 5 years with an all new cast.

Trilogy, then after several years another trilogy continuing after 3. Yea I know it wont be the same cast and all, but it still could be good. Plus some of the supporting characters like J.J.J and Aunt May could come back for more sequels. There are lots of directors out that could do as good of a job as Raimi.

Raimi really want to do that, but Sony will not make other parts. Dunst and other actors also will not come back.

Raimi is going to confirm that 4, 5 and 6 movies will not be made.

Same cast and same director. If Raimi doesn't return than get James Cameron who was originally suppose to do Spider-Man but didn't do it or someone highly qualified to do a superhero movie. Not a hack director. :spidey:

Better sounds in 15 years. Thats enough to restart it and forget about this trilogy.

Saga if Sam and the same cast return. Switching directors has a tendency to not work out.

Saga of course. I want to see every villain I've ever liked be in the movies. I want a Sinster Six movie, and it better be freaking awesome.

If they keep making the Spidy movies this good. I say keep 'em comin'! :D

I want more after 3, because I believe they'd be able to pull off great sequels as long as Sam Raimi's on board as well as the same cast and crew.

I'm not sure yet. It all depends on if the cast will return or not.

Saga would be great JUST if Raimi and most of the cast stays...

I'm telling you, Sony will make more Spidey movies...they want more money! Why do you almost all of the movies that do great in the box office come out with sequels?!

Saga,I want to see the Lizard,Scorpion,Rhino,Hobgoblin,Doc Ock returning as a member of The Sinister Six.

Sony knows that no matter what happens, even if Raimi and the entire cast don't come back, people will go and see Spidey movies! And they will probably continue to make spidey movies until their profits aren't significant.

A trilogy just ain't enough --- there's so many more classic storylines and characters left to tackle, that could all make for amazing movies.

Stick to the six movie plan.... six movies would still leave Spidey fans wanting more, but also be a satisfying amount to properly portray the Spider-Man saga.

Especially if we see, say, the Sinister Six show up in number 6. ;)

If there's money to be made... Then the films will be produced.

However... I hope Spider-Man 3 doesn't straddle fences with its ending. I'm hoping it's either a great conclusion to a trilogy or quite obviously left as a continuation... anything else would be befuddling.
I couldn't have put it better...Sony will produce if they're gonna make money.

And as for the ending, I completely agree, either end it as a trilogy, or end as a cliffhanger leading to another movie, that RAIMI will be directing.

Tough call.

If they continued then I wouldn't be surprised at all because of all the money they could still make.

However, if they decide to halt at 3 I also wouldn't be surprised, because (depending on how incredible SM3 is, which I'm assuming will be astronomically) then they may not want to even attempt to top it, particularly if Raimi and/or the majority of the cast leaves.

So, who knows? Anything could happen. We'll see after 3 is released.
