Tripped - E4 parallel universe comedy

Tripped follows the high-flying adventures of Danny, a 24-year-old trying to get his life in order, and Milo, his stoner friend. Things get strange when Danny appears to Milo “carrying a sword claiming to be from another dimension.” From there, the two embark on a journey through a parallel universe where “the pair soon realise dangerous assassins seem intent on hunting them down and killing them.”

Tripped is by Doctor who writer Jamie Mathieson. Mathieson also wrote the criminally underrated Science Fiction comedy movie Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel.

I would describe the show as Bill & Ted, Sliders, Highlander and Jet Li film The One mixed with E4's previous shows Misfits and The Inbetweeners.

The pilot was called Alt and starred Craig Roberts (Bad Neighbours/22 Jump Street) and Gethin Anthony (Game Of Thrones/Aquarius). The two them were replaced by Blake Harrison and George Webster when the show got picked up.
