Looks sweet, what month is it coming out next year?
 
The trailer says 2010, so I figure it will be released around the Thanksgiving/ Christmas Holidays.
 
After so many years of rumors and this and that finally we get the long awaited Tron sequel and with today's technology it'll beat the pants off anyting Pixar has done in terms of computer animation.

Jeff Bridges is back too, man I feel old as I remember Flynn as the hotshot video game programmer from the first one.
 
Looks sweet.

Though I miss the weird effects the original had on the skin and stuff. The weird negative lighting and stuff.
And I prefer the light cycles moving more sharp and rigidly. I thought that was cooler, and separated them further from everyday motorcycles (well that and the uh. . . light trail)
CGI guys looked a bit weird, but overall, AWESOME.
Looking forward to that.

That was THE most beautiful thing I have ever seen. The Matrix has been usurped. AVATAR's so called but as yet unseen special 3D effects have met their match. I have no words to describe the sheer amount of awesome. I so regret missing the 80's.

In other news. I see that the Light-Cycles can now move dynamically. Clearly a result of the huge advancements in computer technology. Nice touch.

I'm interested in Avatar and all, but I can't help it... the idea of a 10-foot, blue-skinned Sam Worthington with a tail just makes me laugh. I hope it ends up looking a lot cooler than it sounds.

But Tron... damn, if the story and the characters in this movie at the same level of the special effects... this movie is going to be f**king incredible.
 
So, anyone have any thoughts as to why Jeff Bridges just kind of looks on passively as the blue-green guy gets owned by the yellow guy?

the yellow/green guy being the young him may have something to do with it.
 
Isnt that scene only test footage?
Will it even be in the final cut?

i think this was filmed only for promotion. and in the context of the concept trailer i dont think it is connected . i dont think the old Bridges is looking down on them. i think he is only looking outside . for dramatic effect.

No idea what was going on in the teaser there, but I hope that it's in the movie because I really want to know what the hell happened.

no the window is there. but you dont know if he is looking out of the window.

watch every trailer from hollywood and you will see that in the trailers everything looks connected. but when you watch the movie it is different.

the one everyone is calling yellow looks green to me. and the other guy looks blue. the yellow guy is the young el duderino

If you go frame by frame in that scene,you can see him walk away
 
It would be cool if the program seen in that test footage was in some part related to Clu.
