I really didn't think he looked like a young Bridges, but I'll have to check again. Plus it doesn't seem like something his character would do.

Well, I was under the impression it was Clu, Flynn's program, not Flynn himself.

I wouldnt think the program is the Clu that we saw in the 1st movie as he got de-resolutioned. Perhaps he could be Clu.v2 or another program.

Out of character compared to the 1st film - certainly. But we dont know where Flynn is at mentally in the new movie.

He may have had a mental breakdown brought my the presure of the corporate world, intentionally returned to the digital world (we know the viral has fake newspaper clippings regarding his sudden 'dissappearance') and could be ruling the digital world from the inside using his 'user' powers.

He could be kind of a mix of Dillinger and the MCP. He could be the bad guy, with Clu v.2 his henchman in the same vein as Sark.

But, we have no way of knowing yet if it does [or doesnt] have any bearing on the actual movie.

Heh, am I the only one a little surprised that they asked Bruce "DTV" Boxleitner back for the sequel? I mean, it's cool that he's involved since he was in the original, but it almost feels like someonw would have nixed the idea of bringing him back based on every crappy acting role he's had in the last 15 years or so.

Yeah, but at the end of the day, despite whatever crap he's been in since........................he's TRON.

It woulda been silly not to have him involved with the sequel.

Actually, thinking on - I'm a bit bummed that we arent going to see David Warner as Dillinger in some fashion.

The dudes still pretty sprightly for his age and is still acting.

Yeah David Warner is pretty awesome. I dunno why he wouldn't be involved, it's not like his face has changed drastically. Even if it did they could use CGI to alter it.

That's what I'm thinking, or maybe some rougue "Mr. Smith" style glitch in the Tron programming.

However, if you want to see a really, REALLY bad movie with him, check out "Quest of the Delta Knights" in which he plays both the hero and the villain (for reasons which are never explained). It was on Mystery Science Theatre 3000... one of the funniest episodes EVER.

Okay...this is coing from someone who has heard of tron, seen like 4 minutes of the original...changed it and reandomly decided to watch the Tron 2 teaser trailer....

This is definitely on my must see list. Visually it looks incredible...I hope the story is just as good too.
