Everything ive seen of this is awesome, my most anticipated movie of 2010 by far. :D

Any trailer news? Kind of figured it would be attached to Avatar.

Avatar is the biggest 3D movie from 2009 to december 2010. i think it would be smart to realese it with avatar. maybe it will be delayed to Alice to make more effects.

there is rumor/article over at slash film i saw last night saying there is a chance that we will be getting a new trailer with avator.

nice for another confirmation, i hope we get some good actual footage from the film this time. Since the comic con thing was just a test thing.

I hope the trailer comes with Avatar, I think the main struggle will be to differentiate the blue colors and probing blue fluorescent lighting from the colors of Avatar. I hope pepole do not piotr get confused this filmw ith other film Avatar

What saying I am is that I hope when people watch trailer for Tron 2, they will see bright flashy blue colors, I hope they do not confuse this with when they are watching the film Avatar which also features lots of glowing molten blue colors. That distinction HAS to be made otherwise pepole will mistakenly think they are watching Tron 2 and not avatar or vice versa and feel cheated, thus both movies have a strong chance of bombing.

Good Lord Echostation, I tried to make sense out of what you're saying.but it's not clicking. I get the jist of it, but your theory is so out there.

I think Echostations saying that he fears people wont be able to tell the difference between Avatar and Tron (?)

I personally dont share that fear. I mean, c'mon, theyr'e like chalk and cheese. One is easily discernable from the other.

exactly.

just the color blue is the same. one color.

One is about becoming one with natural world the other is about becoming one with the cyber world.

One stars a robot who was once a man (Terminator), the other stars a man who becomes a robot (Iron Man)

lol yea i think any one will be able to tell between the two. only thing in common is they are both going to be 3D films and cgi crazy films.

Is it wrong that I'm actually looking forward to seeing Tron Legacy a helluva lot more than Avatar?

Even though I know it's such a big deal, a part of me is meh about Avatar.

But a sequel to Tron?....................I mean, c'mon.

It's friggin' Tron!!!!!!!

It doesnt get much cooler than that.

/QUOTE]why would it be wrong

the two movies look completely different. one is set on a jungle like planet. and the other one is in a futuristic cyber world .

of course some will like tron better then avatar.

There's your answer, DB. ^^^^

Avatar's seemingly being hyped by some as the movie thats going to revolutionise the why we look at movies from now on; people seem to have put it on this really high pedestal already - almost as if the movie is the 2nd coming or something, that all other movies are going to pale in comparison.

I'm finding that I've been pretty resistant to the hype so far; I'm gonna go see it this week at the local 3D IMAX, but I'm not going to raise my expentacy level so high that I inevitably set myself up for a fall and come out of the cinema dissapointed. At this stage, I'm not exaclty what you'd call giddy with excitement to see it.

Yet I am about Tron Legacy.

Already.

I think people are so excited about it because it's something fresh and new. If your content with sequels and remakes, that's all good for you. But don't scoff people looking forward to something, and using press quotes as opposed to what people and critics are actually saying.

Let me just say that I'm looking forward to Tron 2, but I hate this Vs. mentality, especially when Avatar isn't any kind of threat to this films success.

Wait, you mean that Tron and Avatar are two different movies?

Damn, it's a good thing that

thefollowingpreview.jpg

will come up before the Tron trailer or else I might get confused.

Or wait, maybe that message will come up before Avatar too, since there's a possibility that the film could just be an epic-long preview of a forthcoming trilogy? And since Tron will probably be a trilogy, then I guess both movies will have to converge at some point since all blue people are connected. When is the crossover with the Smurfs movie coming?

I can't wait for Tron: Avatars Go Smurfing.
