Trouble with a plasma tv...

So, we've got a plasma tv and the sound keeps cutting out.

At first we thought it was the cable box because if you turn the box off and back on, the sound is back. But then we discovered that it worked if you turned the tv on and off also. And the sound cuts out during DVDs.

Any ideas? It's really annoying?

Could be a bad wire somewhere. Do you have a warranty effective on it still?

I think it is a bad wire like Fran said. Are you using the tv speakers or a suround sound system?

Your tv speakers either have a short in them or you blew one of your tv speakers.

We have surround sound and it does it both when its on or when its off. So its not the tv speakers.

I kinda figured it was a wire or something, but I was hoping someone here would know more than me.
