True Blood - Part 4

Not even multiple nude scenes from Deborah Ann Woll could make this last season any more interesting.

I hate how bored I am in the concept of this finale season after the last 2 seasons.

Oh really, Sookie? There's no one left? We should be so lucky. :o

Well with this show, I wouldn't be surprised in the least that we get some major blood baths and body counts this season since it's the last.

I don't know, I guess I'm the only one, but I'm intrigued by the premise. It's a bit too Walking Dead-ish, I realize, but I've never watched that show very much, and I think getting back to the core idea of human and vampire relations on a more personal level could do the show good. I also didn't hate last season, either, so there's that.

It's the last season and they know it so they can plan for it. That means they can really let loose and do something drastic and not worry about it affecting the next season or ratings.

Or they can totally drop the ball and screw it up. We'll see.

I enjoy this show the same way I enjoy campy, grindhouse-y horror movies. I wouldn't call True Blood a GOOD show really, but I would call it a ridiculous and fun one.

That said, the worst season of the show thus far was Season 5. That season bored me on a painful level. The 6th season was much better. Hopefully this upcoming season will have a lot of gory and crazy fun. That's all I'm asking for.

By the way, this is all coming from someone who hasn't read any of the books. All I know about the books is who Sookie ends up with. That, and I know the show doesn't follow the books at this point.

It seems interesting but as always, I'll be approaching this with very low expectations.

Will Yun Lee has been tapped for a major recurring role on the upcoming seventh and final season of HBO’s True Blood. He’ll play Mr Gus, a Japanese businessman living in Texas, whose bigger-than-life, urban cowboy demeanor nearly rivals the size of his large Stetsons, Gus is out for revenge and will stop at nothing to get it Repped by APA and Zero Gravity Management, Lee most recently starred in The Wolverine opposite Hugh Jackman. He also just completed shooting a supporting role opposite Melissa McCarthy, Jason Stathom, Jude Law and Nia Long in Paul Feig’s comedy Spy. Other feature credits include Red Dawn, Total Recall, Four Assassins and Lost For Words. He also stars in Duane Adler’s upcoming Korean feature film, Cobu, which is scheduled to be released worldwide later this year.

HBO, it's not fair to use season 1 footage in your trailer. It's like you're trying to make me think this is something I want to see.

That trailer was actually good...goddamnit I may actually have to watch this!:argh:

I've gone this far, I figure I'll just finish it out for good or for bad, lol.

Might as well watch it just to see how it ends. Its just a shame though show had such promise during its 1st few Seasons then it started to go downhill.

That's my attitude too. Why quit when the finish-line is merely a foot or two away.

I look at it as it's noway they could screw it up as badly as they did Dexter's final season, or mishandle it like HIMYM.

I'm not really emotionally invested in True Blood. Not in the same way as I am with shows like Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, The Wire, Dexter, etc. at least.

I've always viewed True Blood as a silly, over-the-top, and campy show. There's no way its final season is going to tick me off like Dexter's did, simply because I've never taken the show seriously.

I never took it seriously either but it doesn't mean they can't seriously ruin it with some kind of over the top stupid storyline that is beyond ridiculous and ends with Eric lumberjacking in Oregon.

This USE to be a decent show the highlights being season 1-2. Seasons 3 and beyond were terrible. I don't have HBO anymore ( could love to have HBO GO though) but hopefully they do something great with the last season to redeem the series. But honestly it's to late Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire has over taken this show.

Looks like a **** season again, if they'd just followed the damn books it would have last longer and been 100x better.
