Animal rights advocates are fired up over photos of Donald Trump's sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, posing with trophy kills while on a hunting safari in Zimbabwe last year. In the photos, posted by TMZ, Trump's offspring are shown standing next to dead animals including, most disturbingly, a crocodile hanging by its neck from a tree and an elephant, next to which young Don stands, proudly holding the animal's hacked-off tail. (Yes, stomach-turning). The elder Donald Trump half-heartedly defended his sons' hunting interest, and Don, Jr. has been feverishly responding to criticism via Twitter, writing that he has "no shame" about the pics. "I HUNT & EAT game."

I have no problem with legal hunting but I'm pretty sure that elephants are endangered and hunting them is illegal.

The counterargument to that is basically that they make good eatin'.

Was their PR team out of town or something?? They should not have been allowed anyhwere near guns and animals. How could they not know there would be backlash?

Yes and no. Like with most animals it depends on where. You have to go through the proper channels before doing so, again like with everything else. I know for a fact you can legally hunt elephants in zimbabwe as the government claims they are not endangered(of course some argue the govt is corrupt and inflates the number of elephants in the area). You can't poach them though.

Who cares though? Some people enjoy hunting. Im not one of them, but i have no problem with it, if its done legally.

Listening to anything the Zimbabwe government says is a big mistake heh.

I looked into it and it does look like its legal to hunt elephant in Zimbabwe. The CEO of GoDaddy did it last year.

I kind of figured he'd be that type.

I'm sorry, but elephant does not seem appetizing to me.

Bet Mugabe made Trumps pay some serious money to hunt in Zimbabwe. His got to prop up his regime some how seeing as his whole boot the white farmers off their land and give it to his supports with no farming experince policy failed so badly.

I saw this article & just went .
