TCM has officially aired Batman, Batman Returns, and Batman Forever in their Oscar marathon. Does that officially make these movies important or are they just airing it cause Warner Bros owns the channel?

could be both. Batman and Batman Returns I can see fitting the bill for being considered a classic. Batman Forever?...ehh.

I was surprised to see Batman Forever, but a lot of people actually like it more than Batman Returns.

Well I did like it more than BR, I was only 12.

Anton Furst and Peter Young actually won Best Art Direction-Set Decoration Oscar for Batman 89'. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096895/awards
But I don't care for Oscars.
I love that movie and Furst's designs and all, but not because of the Oscar.

When Batman Forever was released I went to see it at theaters and I thought it was the best Batman movie. Then, I went home and watched Batman and Batman Returns on VHS and quickly realized that Forever is good but no where as good as B89 and BR.

And, Danny Elfman won a Grammy. Yet he didn't get an Oscar nomination.

Well I was only 12 like I said I watched BF more than I did BR and B89. Now I noticed that BF is good movie but nowhere good as BR, B89 and BB, BF made me a Batman fan I am today tho, I have soft spot for BF.

B89 made me a Batman fan. I was 7 and my friends invited me to see it in theaters when it was released. At the time I didn't care much for Batman. I just knew him from the chessy Superfriends show. I went to see the movie and fell in love with both the movie and character. And, I remember at the time they started airing A LOT of reruns of the Adam West show. And even though the Adam West show is the complete opposite of B89 I still fell in love with it.

I only have a few eps of the 60's series on vhs. I wish the entire series would be released on DVD. :(

We all do, but that doesn't mean they just air her crappy movies.
