TV Guide just ran a special on Jackman's Cockatoo footage premiere.

He was shown talking to the fans and expressing his dissapointment with the leak...

"Obviously people are seeing an unfinished film from months ago."

During the special, they showed two clips of two scenes in the film:

-The first one was the escape from Weapon X which begins with Stryker saying "Erase his memory." as he watches Wolverine in the tank. Immediately after, Agent Zero responds with the familiar "I think he heard you." and then Logan breaks out of the tank in a rage [and butt naked]. He tears a steel door to pieces and heads into the forest...

-The second one is an extension to the barn fight which we had seen a bit of in the last trailer. These two guys tear each other to pieces, and Liev definitely has the upper hand.

interesting that there is no music.

yeah i hope theres music in the final cut, the scenes felt bland without it

and why did they show clips without music?

basicly Peter they showed unfinished clips?

they showed un-scored clips.

Gregson's music is still inder wraps, just like Powell's before X3.

There was a clip on Carson Daly of the scene at Jean's house where Jean tells Xavier "Get out of my head!" and that clip was also missing Powell's music.

I'm excited to pick up the CD on the 28th

un-scored?
this is called unfinished. every part and every piece needs to be finished to call it a ''finished'' shot.
if just one piece misses its called an unfinished shot.

and how dumb would it be if Hugh was talking about unfinished footage and then would..............show unfinished clips?

think about it.

think about it.

Jackman showed polished shots sans the score.

I'm telling you, they did the same thing with X3 for certain scenes when airing clips on talk shows.

the movie comes out in 3 weeks and the composer is still doing the music?

is peter making fun of me or what?

CGI is essential to a film like this, as will be the score.
Yeah, but the unfinished CGI didn't bother me.

The Harry Gregson-Williams score I'm actually curious to listen. I like his work and while I asbolutely loathed the FF flicks, John Ottman made a very good score for them.

i like the two scenes.

but running at sabertooth gets boring when its always the same.

the score is most definitely finished.

its simply being kept under wraps for now.

I hated Ottman's score for X2 and Fantastic Four.

He won me over with the score to FF2, particularly the Surfer's theme.

John Powell is so far my fav X-Men composer, but having heard some of Gregson's earlier themes, I'm hoping to give Harry the top spot

Yeah those clips seem weird without music. Was there an official date labeled on the workprint? Could not have been that old right?

Jackman said it was from BEFORE the reshoots and the reshoots took place in January - so its pretty old.

ohhhh so now they dont want to realese the music?

i guess you also have an answer for that?

:whatever:

They will release the music on April 28th and then more of it with the film on May 1st.

That's how it works. Scores are usually not released before street dates or the premiere of the film.

TDK was the same, they never used the Joker's theme in the trailers and used music from Batman Begins instead.

I really don't think there's anything suspcious going here on regarding the score.
