and other movies & TV shows that were not considered "funny" (and some that were sit-coms) during their time, why do you think Hollywood takes these properties and adds piss poor slapstick to them and releases it like its a new take on it?

Green Hornet
Charlies Angels
Dukes of Hazzard
Land of the Lost
Bewitched
(and thank GOD Jack Black never saw a hint of Green Lantern)
to name a few. Sure the only one (IMHO) that worked was the Brady Bunch, but that may have been because it capitalized on what everyone was thinking all along about the show.

Do you enjoy these types of movies or do they irritate you?

I enjoyed Brady Bunch reruns when I was younger but the parody was hilarious. A modern day take on most of these show wouldn't work so I don't mind them making comedies. Although I thought Bewitched and Dukes of Hazzard looked terrible.

I love the first Brady Bunch movie. The second was pretty good too, but they thought of all the best things to make fun of in the first.

I thought the Bewitched movie was alright; nowhere near as bad as many made it out to be.

The Brady Bunch and Bewitched were sitcoms.

None of these shows were really meant to be taken seriously anyway. It's a lesson so many television shows today could learn from.

it may have been nothing like the original but at least starsky and hutch was a good comedy
