A US television station had its usual programming interrupted yesterday by news of an impending zombie apocalypse.

The Montana Television Network said hackers broke into the Emergency Alert System of KRTV, its station in the city of Great Falls.

A message was broadcast announcing that "dead bodies are rising from their graves" in several Montana counties.

The hacking appeared to take place during a daytime talk show:

The TV network later released a statement saying there was no emergency and that its engineers were investigating the incident.

either superb trolling or new viral marketing

HAHAHA! That's awesome. I wonder how many people lost their **** like when The War of the Worlds was broadcast over the radio way back when?

I think the part of the audience that was watching the Steve Wilko Show would have believed it.

Awesome.

Would've been more interesting if they did it during a time when more people were watching TV.

check the second video they did it at the tail end of the news in another region

Blah. I rather see a NWO type prank air on April Fool's Day. Not joking and I believe in conspiracies. It be funny to see people lose their ****. And at end of the message would be: Happy April Fool's.

It just looked like a commercial for their local news network, so I'm not sure one can know when exactly that aired unlike the Steve Wilkos one.

The morning radio show played it on my way to work. It was badass

This is all leading to a boy who cried wolf scenario.

Another report is claiming, with reliable sources, that the zombies will also break out into song.

I'd have probably soiled myself if I'd heard/read that on TV..

Then I'd have went out & got myself a shotgun, bottled water, torch & a cricket or baseball bat with nails through it for cracking some zombie skulls.

This is incredible.

Isn't there some sort of popular zombie show these days?

It's too bad that zombies didn't attack The Steve Wilkos show

40 years of darkness, earthquakes and volcanos. The dead rising from the grave. Human sacrifices, dogs and cats living together, MASS HYSTERIA!!!

And the Cubs win the world series.

I think the best part are the four people that actually called police.

Honestly if you see something like that, as much as your brain is telling you it's probably stupid, that is exactly what people in the movies think....before IT happens.
