I didn't watch it in its' first run but caught it later on in syndication on A&E. Either way it forever changed my tastes in both tv and film. It was my introduction to abstract ideas in film. The characters are all great and Dale Cooper might be one of tvs greatest characters. I feel like I am short changing it by not being as poignant as I'd like to be...Anyway if you've never seen the first 7 episodes. do yourself a favor and see it.

The owls are not what they seem.....

I taped the shows on their original run...and the tapes have gotten pretty bad....last year the Chiller channel started showing the series again, and I have them recorded on DVD now.

Cool. I want to get that sexy Definitive Gold Edition DVD...but I don't have 80 bucks to throw around, lol.

Did the Gold edition include the original 2 hr movie that started it off? Previous American release didn't have it.

I watched it when it originally aired. It affected me same as Doc. I was 13-14 at the time, so it really set a foundation for the taste of TV and Movies I would gravitate to as I got older. The show was a huge eye opener for me especially at that age. I had never seen anything like it. I had mainly watched sitcom's before it, so it really blew my mind. Such a great and groundbreaking show.

I wish they would put this on Hulu. I've really been wanting to check it out. It seems like something I would like.

I think it does, yeah.

And Panda, CBS at one time had the series on their website. They might still.

I used to watch Twin Peaks pretty much religiously back in the 90's, when I was attending college. I like Lynch's wacky style, and his weird brand of storytelling. However, the series finale was too bizarre even for my taste, and I still don't understand what exactly happened in that episode except that Agent Cooper had gone cuckoo & lost his marbles. The haunting theme song is the best, though, and I even brought the soundtrack.
