The Dark Knight Rises Two-Face to return?...Maybe

I would love to see Two-Face return with maybe Black Mask or Penguin. I like the idea of having the funeral staged and Two-Face is actually alive and in Arkham. Bringing back Two-Face is a good thing in my opinion, having someone the viewers are familiar with already and no need to tie in a new story for him, which would free up so much time for another villain's story, or more story for Bruce.

The only thing anyone ,including Eckhart, has said is that Harvey Dent is dead, not Two-Face. I think Nolan and crew are being cagey when they talk like this, and until it's officially announced that Two-Face is indeed dead and someone else is the villian in the next movie, We shouldn't really discount the possibility.

I have been saying this since the first Eckhart interview in September when he said "Harvey is dead." If you listen to him in this GG interview, he laughs and sputters Harvey's name over and over. He cannot spoil anything for sake of Nolan and Co., but he has known, as well as the rest of the gang, that Harvey's persona has DIED, the death we saw in TDK, but Two-Face lives on. Nolan is clever and coy, but if you follow his patterns and recognize his thinking you can usually see his direction.

Just because Eckhart's coming back doesn't mean Two-Face isn't dead. Nolan wouldn't answer the question of who the five were that Two-Face killed, so it's possible he could be shown in flashback, or he could be part of a nightmare/vision Bruce has.

I can see them going along w/ that "Harvey" died but "Two-Face" is in a coma, if thought and brought about adequitely. But how are they going to explain Batman and Gordon standing around Harvey/Two-Faces body, and not rushing for medical attention if he was still breathing??? All I'm saying is that Two-Face being alive should not be totally ruled out ... yet. It's too early in the process to determine anything about the next film with any surety. And if Nolan decides to bring TF back, I'm confident in his ability to do it with style and intelligence. He's shown me nothing so far in this franchise yet to the contrary.

I still think it's ambiguous enough at the end of the movie that Nolan has left himself a way out should he decide otherwise, if it's true that he said TF is dead.Notice though that the author of the article above does not actually quote Nolan as saying "Two-Face is dead.", I think he's possibly just misunderstanding, as some have done here, that Nolan saying Harvey Dent is dead as meaning that Two-Face is dead. I still think we need to wait and see.

Aaron Eckhart is being very clever here. He is giving an answer that keeps the hope alive amidst the fans - Harvey could be in a coma somewhere - while he can still remain "dead" in terms of the narrative development. In short, people can say he's dead, or they can follow Eckhart's suggestion here and say he's alive if it makes them feel better. But either way, it's unlikely he'll be back for the third film.

Angie is waaaaaaay better than Beckinsale, especially in the acting department. I admit ,I kinda like Beckinsale and I think she gets bagged on too much, but Jolie is a much, much, much better actress and a much better fit for the character in general.

It seems to me that Eckhart is laughing because he can't believe he is still being asked this question. I think he is having fun with the reporter and with us, and rightfully so.

Although, they still could bring Two-Face back, but I doubt it. I don't think Nolan is into soap-opera style "un-killing" of people.
