Enough said...discuss..:2face:

It seems like a bootleg TLH DV imo.

Yeah, I was really looking forward to it, but there was nothing special about it. It's solid, but it's treading over re-tread ground.

I was rereading it last night and I thought it was actually really well done but I think it fails for a couple of reasons. The pacing was just all over the place, it had the kind of story which should have been long, seemed like they were trying to jam it all in. The art while being good didn't seem appropriate either.

I only have the first book, and thought it was mediocre. Is the second better?

The second is um... hmmm the pacing is like the first...really fast....the cameos of the whole rogue gallery is pretty awesome. There are some graphic parts which could have been done a little bit better but the concept is cool. I will scan some cool images DV and you can decide

That's what I said back when we first heard this was book was happening. We already saw Two Face's creation and uprising in TLH and DV.

There really was no point in doing this story again.

I borrowed the first one from a friend and thought it was only okay, I did the same with the second and while it was better it still wasn't anything to write home about.

I enjoyed it. Although I'm a bit tired of reading Harvey's origin for the 2674 time, certain stuff like the psychiatrist I really liked, his rival, and his friendship with Bruce. With the second issue I loved having Two-Face run for D.A. rather than Harvey and damn near to winning too!

But I do feel the pacing was rather fast and should have been another issue to smooth it out.

Agreed with everything there.

I would rather an actual Harvey Dent: Year One, showing his first year as DA through his prosecutions culminating in either his first meeting with Batman or his arrest of one of the other mob leaders with Batman.

.
Ya it felt like it should have been a really long story, but it just came off as everything happening all at once. I mean Dent getting scared seemed to happen way too early. The same with the introduction of two-face and killing that guy. All of it seemed way too fast.

Yeah, that was my main problem with the first issue. Dent gets scarred and the next time we see him, he shoots Maroni. The story is supposed to follow Dent, and I really disappointed that we really see him go bat**** like him stabbing his doctor.

but they did introduce the Penny Plunderer and that was cool hahaha
