I'm of the belief Two Face will be set up in the next film for the third or he will be the villain whose origin story is told in the sequel (considering the Joker is already robbing banks at the end of part one).

I used Dennis Hopper as my model.

It seems everyone has tunnel vision for the Joker (and most people's suggestions for casting are underwhelming; the only person brought up thus far who could stand shoulder to shoulder with Jack's acting in the original Burton film is Robin Williams). He may be caught at the opening of the film and put on trial.

Umm it's Ledger is been offered not Williams...:o

If Ledger truly is cast as Joker, I will lose a lot of confidence in the next film and the casting of TwoFace. I don't want everyone in the film to look like underwear models. It's getting real boring real fast, and Bale's hoaky porn star bat voice has got to stop. It's funny in the way the wrong way, the way which involves me laughing at the film. It takes itself way to serious for a movie where Batman gets in the floorboard of the batmobile every five minutes when driving; it's more than a little over the top for something that goes out of the way to try and make it seem like the most real hero movie.

If they want to make it seem real then they can make it more of a detective story than a superhero flick; I'd like something simpler like that, no vast conspiracies to destroy Gotham, this is Batman, not Superman. Put the bat against psychos, serial killers, and gangsters.

I don´t have a problem with everbody in the movie looking like underware models. but why has it to be male models?

I should have been more specific with my thread title; I was too blunt.

My problem with his casting choice for Ledger looks like him selling out to the studio to cast someone who has a lot of buzz around their name right now (I will not make any Brokebat jokes for right now).

because Nolan has a history of things like this...

crappy actors that are big names  :rolls eyes: people need to get over this....

:doom:

The only casting I didn't like in the first movie was Holmes, her and Tom have gone over the rainbow; I don't even feel comfortable watching their movies anymore.

Holmes felt forced on Nolan, in BB, since the execs probably wanted a love interest and despite her amount of screentime she wasnt that integral to the mythology. Joker on the other hand is possibly one of the most important villain castings ever, considering he could be considered as the most popular comic book villain. While i don't doubt that the studio pushed Nolan to cast a "known" actor to play the role, i'm pretty sure Ledgers casting was all Nolan.

As for two face, while im hoping liev grabs the role, id expect to be suprised again.

:( No, Nolan had Holmes in mind when he created the character of Rachel Dawes - and she was fine for the role. Katie Holmes biggest problem was working with actors the like of Michael Caine and Christian Bale.

I think the selling out is on Ledger's side, not Nolan's. Earlier in his career, Ledger was all anti-comic films and franchises and on some "I'm a serious actor" jazz. Now he's playing one of the most hallowed villians in a comic franchise for 2 films? It smacks of striking while the iron is hot to keep away from doing garbage like "The Order" again.

I like the idea of Joker spraying Dent with acid from his flower on his lil tuxedo thing and hitting Dent right on the forhead as the acid spills down his face making him turn into Two-Face.:joker:

"WTF is that? It looks a Sin City manip that was done by a 5 year old."

Well, the internet is still as mature and constructive as ever. I don't have time to argue with you attention craven fanbois. Take your happy pills and get some lives trolls.

Guys tone it down... stay on topic!
And lets try and NOT use WTF in every post OK?

I really like the Idea of Jim Caviezel should play Harvey Dent. His eyes are so expressive I think he could pull the part off and make you like him while at the same time in the third he could be the tragic character that two face is.

Jesus for Two Face, chuckle. I think the actor needs a face with more edges.
