Supergirl Tyler Hoechlin IS Superman - Part 2

I'm also a little worried about Tyler's screen time, Stephen Amell said that the 5 would be important for the crossover (supergirl, flash, arrow, batwoman, superman). Or in the promotions they are hiding the action with superman rare thing. because last year they showed all the heroes gathered in their suits, or really less than what I expected, if it were not for the leaks and I would only look at the official thing I would think that only makes a cameo, but thanks to the leaks I am left with a little more calm, I really hope that they are thinking about making a series.

Also unusual is the fact out of all the episodic stills released so far featuring Tyler Hoechlin, all have been Clark photos. Not one has featured either version of Superman.

I think people need to stop panicking and just enjoy the thing. Why worry about screen time, we know from the set photos Tyler did plenty as Superman.

True, if anyone regularly checks out the official photos from CW episodes, they know that they usually only represent like 2-3 scenes per episode, and generally the least-spoilery scenes of the bunch.

You may be right, but when my favorite character seems to have lost the opportunity in the cinema, I hope they get it on TV, that's all ...

They're likely keeping Superman stuff a secret as they don't want to give away too much concerning him for the trailers.

Just had a thought that shot of Star Labs with black suit Superman. Well remember the Alex and Kara clip from a few weeks ago, she had the dark S insignia on, so I reckon that’s when Dr Destiny has done something with reality and Black Suit Superman is I’m charge of Star Labs at that point probably capturing the heroes.

Then the Alex that's wearing the dark S crest is likely from the same alternate reality as black-suited Superman.

I wonder if there's a battle in Star Labs where Flash and Green Arrow's teams attempt to battle Black-Suit Superman.

The trouble is he's a guest star under Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl, so Superman won't be top priority

Tyler Hoechlin Talks About the Possibility of a Superman TV Series

Fan Fest San Jose took place across this past weekend at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, where some of the cast members of The CW’s superhero TV shows were in attendance. Tyler Hoechlin, who has appeared as Clark Kent/Superman in a number of “Supergirl” episodes, spoke about his upcoming involvement in the 3-night “Elseworlds” crossover event and what it’s been like working with Elizabeth “Bitsie” Tulloch in the role of Lois Lane.

“Bitsie in a way is very Lois Lane like,” he revealed. “She’s had as similar upbringing, in strange ways.”

“Even when we first introduced our version of Clark and Supergirl and Superman a couple years ago, he’s an established Superman. He’s been doing this while and that relationship with Lois has been there for a while. They are very much an item, his better half, because they’re at that point.”

As for how he originally landed the role, Hoechlin says it all started with a half-hour meeting he had with producers.

“We talked about what’s cool about Superman, and what stood out about him to me in general. Two weeks later, I got a phone call with the offer. We had a very similar view of who Superman was in this world in the context of this show.”

When approaching the character, Hoechlin explains his personal thoughts on who Superman/Clark Kent is.

“There’s Clark, Clark the performance, and then there’s Superman. Superman is a public image. He’s not Superman to him he’s just Clark. So, sometimes he has to be the full character of Clark. Sometimes, he has to be a little of that and close to center, and sometimes he’s rawly himself. For me it sits in at least five different places, and figuring out with the context of the scene who’s in the scene, where that needle is moving one way or the other.”

Now that we have Superman, Lois Lane, and Flash of Earth-90, I would like to see Supergirl do its own version of Flashpoint where we have both Project Superman and Lois Lane & The Resistance.

Guess the "See you 'round Smallville" thing continues with the Arrowverse's version of Clois.

This versions slightly longer, even get to see a BTS shot of Clark in Star Labs

I wonder if Superman will explore Star Labs and discover the 2024 crisis headline.

So was it really confirmed that Amell said that Superman is one of the main characters for this year's crossover alongside Arrow, Flash, Supergirl, and Batwoman?

Something like that but I'm sorry I could not find it now a long time ago, I also remember that he said that Superman would have a significant role or something, I'm sorry I can not prove it but I remember it

A while back, there was a quote by someone (Amell?) saying that the crossover played like a movie in three parts. This sounded like good news - to the extent that the story would take priority over artificially imposed show or character boundaries. But more recent articles seem to indicate that the crossover will more-or-less follow the typical template. E.g., Ollie and co. will tend to dominate in the Arrow episode; Barry in the Flash episode; etc. Moreover, if it was more like a movie, there’d be no particular need for Flash and Supergirl to swap timeslots. The fact that they do suggests that the aforementioned show boundaries are being maintained. I.e., Supergirl (and Superman and Lois?) might get more screen time in part 3 (the Supergirl episode).

Or not. :word:

yes, I think the poster may be a bit indicative of how the crossover can go

Elizabeth Tulloch on a potential Superman series with Tyler Hoechlin

I have to admit, when it comes to the Superman department in the "Arrowverse", we have definitely a come a LONG way since the beginning of this show.

3-4 years ago, we never thought that we would ever see Superman show up as a real character on this show and that his presence would only be felt via text messages or CGI body doubles.

Then when it was first announced that he would be making his first real appearance in the second season, we could never even imagine that he would be given a chance to interact with the other prominent heroes in the "Arrowverse".

Now look at where we are now. After a few years of waiting, we will finally get to see him not only interact with the likes of Green Arrow and The Flash, but fight alongside them as well.

So when it comes to the possibility of seeing him in his own show, I'm not ruling out anything anymore.
