Its slow real slow its 4 issues in know but it is cool to see the fights though.

Its pretty cool really. Everything about it and every character they introduce us to fits into the story seamlessly and links the Ultimate MU together even more. I've got real issues with the Ultimates as a whole (basically being the superpowered grunts of SHIELD somehow detracts from them being heroes for me, and Cap is just an ass), but I love how all these minor characters fit into the history of a newly minted universe and the reimaginings of a lot of the b-listers (and some a-listers) that have never really had more than a limited series to pop up in like Wilson, Vision, MoonDragon, Misty Knight, Silver Surfer etc have been tweaked to make them who we know them as, but with no promise that they will be good guys at the end.

Sure its slow - but it brings together the cosmis aspcts of the MU with the Earth Bound NY based ones. The regular MU has a bit of a problem with that, hence the sudden surge in promo for the cosmic characters in the Anihillation event.

I feel the same. It's really building on the suspense.

You'll enjoy it.

^I read the individual issues at my LCS but I'm waiting to actually buy them.

it's pretty good. Not fantastic, but definitely not bad

It's a bit disappointing that this whole mini occurs BEFORE the Ultimates v2. Kinda ruins the element of surprise as to the outcome eh?

as in, we know they survive and the earth isn't destroyed? not that big a deal, almost all comics are like that. It's only titles off in their own little universe like Invinicble where we truly don't know what's going to happen next.

See, 616 Galactus always gets turned away from Earth. If they're trying to make the ultimate universe different, Gah Lak Tus should have had more of a chance of eating it.

Yeah, but see in IC, there are actualy outcomes.

Superman powerless, Bludhaven destroyed, Superboy killed, Kyle becomin' Ion, etc..

This crossover seems to have no aftermath.

So, is the surfer really a surfer? Last I saw he had wings. Also, how did Cap kick his @$$?

there seem to be several of them, it hasn't quite been totally explained

The Ultimate Surfer isn't an empowered sentient being forced (Or recruited) into service for Gah Lac Tis. This Surfer seems to be one of many semi sentient androids or whatever you wanna call them sent by Gah Lac Tis to distabalize the race in which it plans to destroy. Basically, get a large portion of the population to off themselves so it doesn't have to fight.
