Is it me, or is there absolutely nothing likeable about the Ultimate X-Men? Now, I admit I skipped a good chunk of their run 'cause the opening issues of the series were just TOO different for my tastes. But recent arcs have brought me back and after reading the last few months and the annual, I see little has changed. These characters lack any and all redeeming qualities that made them stand out in 616.
A couple of my observations between the two realities:
Nightcrawler-looked like a demon but with the heart of a saint. Revealed to not be the case here.
Wolverine-Always struggled between his animal and human side, showing his gruffness only hid a decent heart. Here, he comes off like a complete ******* no matter what.
Storm-A former thief who became a majestic goddess and has poise and grace. Here, a thief who acts like a hardass.
Cyclops-Is a dick. ....Well, I guess some things you just can't change.
Am I alone in feeling this way; that these Ultimate X-Men are just unsympathetic jackasses?
