Unbreakable appreciation thread

i just watched Unbreakable and i forgot just how much i enjoy that movie. Very character driven and well acted.

and i would love a sequel...i don't know how they would pull it off and make it as good...but i'd be interested.

what did you think about it?

I love Unbreakable, it really makes a great point of how comic books exist to some. I love how Bruce played a strtong but flawed character.

i like most, if not all of the ideas behind m. night's movies, but really i don't like any of the movie themselves.

i find them to be really, really slow moving and more often than not, boring. too much silence for a movie, in my opinion.

Unbreakable is his best pic IMO. And his only film where I didnt pick the twist within the first few minutes.

I'd say this would have to be one of my most favoritesd movies. I really liked it.

Did they have to photograph the movie so dark? Most of the damn time I had no idea what the heck I was looking at.

For me, that silence is cinematic. It's intended to raise the tension, and draw you into the dreamlike unfolding of the narrative. People like Scorsese are masters of it. M. Night's work just comes off like a bad parody of it.

I was rooting for sam Jacksons character until that twist at the end. Didnt see that coming. A good twist though.

this was a fantastic movie.. maybe not as good as Signs... but damn good. I loved the "tragedy" of Elijah and everything surrounding him (and his comic books and everything). he was such a great character... i thought bruce was good, just once he did that saving-lives thing, it wasn't so good... don't know, was just too "jaggy"... but the point is appreciation!!

This was a real good movie. Original, well acted and I loved how it ended. I don't know about a sequel. I think there is enough sequels coming out to just about every thing else.
