man, that makes it seem like evolution is the end of the series, and that movie leaves things just as open and unresolved as the end of the 1st movie. they should make a REALLY GOOD script and offer it to her as the last one. i love this series but what is a series without an ending??

Yeah about Kate not wanting to do another, I agree with what you said, I think a good scrip and like a nice pay check might get her to do it, I would love her to I love this films and they've got to give it a proper ending and plus these films did help her get more popular...well I think so. But I hope she thinks about doing another one again she was awesome as Selene.

thats what i was thinking -- there are WAAAY better actresses than Beckinsale out there, especially those willing to do Underworld 4 (if RISE is a prequel would that make it Underworld 3? anyways...).

I like these films, it's essentially like a guys Twilight. But in these films you can expect better action like a good hand to hand fight between a Lycanthrope vs. a Vampire.

And I like seeing Mitra, I can totally see a resemblance to Selene, which is why Victor spared her. So, hot english brunette and hot english brunette. What to complain about?

Why do people keep saying Beckinsale didn't want to do another? She's never said such a thing.

In any case, this movie looks awesome, and I think it's gonna be the first big movie of '09. It may also be the biggest earning movie of the series thus far, and the best in terms of quality. I guess I feel that way because I love movies set in ancient times.

Hopefully this will be good. The underworld movies are subpar when it comes to storytelling. It's virtually all action. Selene throughout two films is barely a character. How about some flashback sequences or something so as to make her more "human" to the audience instead of just some robot.

Eager to see this prequel play out and I'm hoping we get another sequel, picking up where EVOLUTION left off.

Not really looking forward to this movie. I liked the first two but mostly for the cinematography and action and gore. I never really felt for the characters and they were all mostly wooden throughout IMO. I don't really see the point of this prequel as I thought the background was pretty well talked about in the first unless they have a shattering twist. BTW, is it me or do the werewolves look they are really badly done claymation?
