We have one for comics & for film, so why not?
I'll start with:
Rhianna, Chris Brown & Lady Gaga are HORRIBLE singers.
Beyonce & Usher have excellent voices but their material is crap.
The "Bad" album is vastly superior to "Thriller" in every way.
R. Kelly seems only capable of writing good songs for other people.

I've never been into The Beatles, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones, Elvis, or Aerosmith.

Metallica's "Black" album is the first of their albums that was extremely sub-par. The only good thing they've done since Justice other than a handful of songs is "Death Magnetic"

Eric Clapton's "Pilgrim" is an underrated album.

Dream Theater is better than Pink Floyd
The Beatels aren't that good
Mosh pits are stupid

The Beatles are overrated
So is Nirvana (even though they're my favorite band)
Lady Gaga is not an "icon"
There hasn't been a rap/hip-hop song worth listening to in over a decade

Pop Punk/Emo music is annoying and whiney.

Music nominated at the grammy awards over recent years is a joke and awful.

90% of modern Hip Hop sucks.

Oasis and Robbie Williams suck.

Everybody's musical opinion is valid.

Guitar solos, while often technically quite impressive, usually make for incredibly boring listening...

If the guitar is the only instrument playing, perhaps

Hendrix's "All Along the Watchtower" is better than Dylan's.

Hendrix's "All Along the Watchtower" is better than Dylan's.

Um, everyone thinks that, including Dylan.

That being said...
-Springsteen is superior than Dylan.
-Rush suck.
-Kiss are one of the worst bands ever, and their live shows and their fans are both incredibly ridiculous.
-Concerts in stadiums generally suck.
-The White Album would've been better if it was just one cd.
-Pearl Jam were, are and always will be better than Nirvana.
-Dylan has a great voice, just not one with great technical precision.
-Elvis had some great songs but he's overrated ad far as his artistic status as an innovator is concerned.
-Michael Buble is a third rate Sinatra rip-off at best.
-Bon Jovi are awful aside from three or four songs, all of the made between 1983 and 1989.
-If GNR had made Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II one album, it would've easily been as good as Appetite for Destruction.
-Steely Dan are bland, pretentious and incredibly pretentious.
-People who judge Springsteen, Dylan, Mick Jagger and host of other singers based on solely their voice have no idea how rock and roll is supposed to sound.
-Mosh pits are, in fact, stupid.
-Billy Joel is an awesome singer and songwriter and doesn't deserve the criticism he gets.
-The Clash are the greatest punk rock band ever.
-Weezer have not done anything good in over 10 years.
-Every Led Zeppelin album has at least one song that completely sucks for every 7-10 others that are completely awesome.
-Phish are a poor man's Grateful Dead. At best.

Yeah, I have thought this too, but, as a friend of mine once pointed out to me, the UYI albums, although produced by the same guy, have more of a polished slick sound, while AFD has a somewhat dirtier, trashier sound that suits GnR.
Some of the songs on UYI are big slick epic songs, but some of the dirtier songs could use that AFD sound.

Absolutely, it bugs me when folk dissmiss Dylan because of his voice.

em, i will try to think of some....

I am pretty sure I prefer the Rolling Stones Sgt Pepper copy, Satanic Majasties Request...to sgt Pepper.
I also prefer the White Album to Sgt Pepper, and like it the way it is, all schitzo with the different types of songs.
Abba are better than most rock bands at being a rock band.
Disco produced more good records than punk.
'Heart of Glass' is a good example of why disco is a better form for making great records than punk.

the Ramones are not a punk band, they are a pop band.

The 80s were great for novelty records, and some brainless hits, but it was a crap time for music in general, New Romantic was a crap hybrid successor to punk and disco.

I agree with you on the Disco vs. Punk argument as well as the 1980s'.

Also, Thriller and Purple Rain are the only examples I can think of where an artist's most popular work also turned out to be their best.

And the majority of bands named after American cities or other geographic locations (Kansas, Chicago, Boston, Asia) either suck or mainly serve as guility pleasures.

I enjoy Dylan's more recent albums and his 70s' output more than his early work.

I agree with everything bold except I believe that Led Zeppelin IV is the only album that doesn't have a song that sucks on it.

Because if everyone doesn't like The Beatles, they're underrated

-The 80's had the best decade in music

-grunge music was garbage and Kurt Cobain's death was actually a blessing

-current artists today have no talent and are cookie cutter singers of past better musicians
