Led Zeppelin and The Who have only two or three albums each that are worth listening to.

Almost half of Bob Dylan's songs turn out to be a convulted mess.

Techno remixes never make an original song better.

Yeah, I'm not sure how unpopular it is amongst Stones fans, but I can imagine a lot of folk preferring all the hits of the 60s to something like Exile on Main Street, and the non-singles stuff of of SF and LIB.

He quit because of Keith and Mick's stranglehold over the songwriting credits, he didn't get credit where it was due for some songs. Which is crazy, you want the band to be the best it can be, share the wealth, credit where it's due.

Yeah, he didn't have the usual attitude about things 'rockstars' usually do, that's why so many people loved him, and when so many people love an artist, those who don't 'get it' feel they the artist is overated and has a fanbase and devotion out of proportion to their talent, so they vent an opinion that is out of proportion to what the guy is all about. Wishing a musician was dead, for teh reasons of their music only? lol.
Oh yeah, someone gave me a bootleg dvd of that concert film, 'Ladies and Gentlemen...The Rolling Stones'(that, apart from cinema showings, was only released on VHS in Australia in 1981?!), and he is amazing in it, his slide guitar work on 'All Down The Line' was mesmerising. Yeah, I got a real kick out of watching an 'in their prime' Stones live gig like that. I'll have to track down some other gigs from that period, I've heard another bootleg live recording from this period my mate has.

Thanks for the Sinatra tips btw.

Hot Fuss was the only good Killers album

U2 have not made a good music in years

Aha Shake Heartbreak is the best Kings Of Leon album and their music has got worst by each album after that

The British groups and singers that have been successful in America over the last ten years have been some of the worst.

If I don't like the artist, I won't like their music, no matter how good it may be.

No they don't. The last thing I want is a band I like to become a bunch of corporate sellouts.

The 80s probably has some of the most addictive music. Everyone loves some kind or some form of 80s. The 70s was the decade in which rock and other genres started to become extremely diverse, while the 80s was the decade in which many of the subgenres of rock started to not only gain recognition, but become popular.

I can name only don't stop believing and thats it.

Jagger/Richards wanted to be like McCartney/Lennon, which came to bite them on the ass as they let Taylor leave.

-I like the original Tears for Fears version of 'Mad World' over the Gary Jules cover.

-I can't get into Radiohead. I've got three of their CDs, and each one has been pretty different from the previous as most describe, but I still just can't make the connection with them. There's a handful of songs I enjoy listening to now and again, but that's about it.

I'm on the same boat when it comes to them and a few other bands that everyone else but me seems to like - the U2's and Red Hot Chili Peppers of the world.

I like the idea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but there really aren't any songs by them that I get into.

-Every cover version I've ever heard of a Beatles song was better than the original
-Lady Gaga's music is nothing revolutionary and I honestly can't see anyone wanting to listen to Poker Face 20 years from now
-Kelly Rowland is prettier and has a nicer voice than Beyonce
-Madonna is and always was talentless
-Nirvana and Queen are two bands that are overrated because of the tragic deaths of their lead singers

    - U2 hasn't made a good album since Rattle And Hum.
    - Pearl Jam is the best band out of the 90's grunge rock era.
    - 80's had the best decade of music.
    - Everything in the pop music station suck right now (except for Lady Gaga).
    - Elvis was famous mainly because he was the first white artist to sing black music.

    Evanescence suck.
Born in the U.S.A. is one of Springsteen's worst albums.
Weezer have not done anything good since the Pinkerton.
Clapton's created some of the best music ever, but I don't find anything outstanding about his guitar playing.

    Journey is subpar.
Flo Rida (other than a few exceptions) sucks.
Bruce Springsteen is not passed his prime.
Green Day didn't sell out, they just grew up.
The only good country music is at least 40 years old.
The Clash really are the best punk band.
Sondheim (though amazing) is not the best musical composer in history.

Hey Chairman, how come I haven't seen you in the politics forum in a long time? ;)
